We were lucky to walk in without a booking and there was a table for us. The atmosphere is lively, every other table was full at the time. The background music was a good volume so it wasn't distracting. The service was very friendly and attentive, it was quite busy and so we were offered water for the table but it was forgotten and I had to ask for it later, but they were apologetic so it was no problem. The server did warn us that it was busy so there might be a wait, but it didn't feel like we were waiting too long at all, all the food came out in a timely manner. The food was good. Sensibly sized portions, the Marina Lunga salad was tasty, and the red wine went down beautifully. For the mains, my chilli prawn pasta was delicious with a red sauce with the right amount of chilli, and plenty of prawns. It tasted fresh and it was very hot so I could tell it came straight from the kitchen to the table. The mussel pasta also had a generous amount of mussels. The affogato for dessert really hit the spot and the serving of hazelnut gelato was generous and delicious. One of my dining partners was a bit disappointed that his plate was taken away before he had finished, probably could have been avoided with a quick check before beginning to clear the table. Overall the experience was good and I would definitely come again if I'm looking for Italian in...
Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience here! From start to finish, everything was flawless. Despite the restaurant being at full capacity, the waitstaff were phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and so professional. They never missed a beat, making us feel genuinely looked after the entire night.
The food was the real star. Every dish was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The calzone came out hot and perfectly crisp on the outside with a cheesy, rich filling inside. The rocket salad was fresh and light, balancing the heartier dishes beautifully. The four cheese pizza was absolute indulgence — oozy, melty, and full of depth without being overwhelming. And the garlic prawn linguine? Out of this world. The pasta was perfectly al dente, with a garlicky, buttery sauce that coated every prawn and strand of linguine just right.
Overall, everything was delicious, comforting, and clearly made with love. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service shine equally, but this spot absolutely nails it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, satisfying Italian with service that goes...
Read moreA group of 5 of us had dinner, everyone said the same thing without too much prompting 'It was ok, acceptable, but I wouldn't make an effort to come back'. So there was nothing terrible about the meals (other than being on the salty side in terms of flavour/seasoning) but there wasn't anything mind blowing 'give me more give me more' type of feeling either.
The service & 'warmth' needs a lot of work, nobody greets you when you walk in. When I checked about our booking, the person behind the counter pointed to it and tole me 'its over there'... that's it, didn't walk us over, didn't welcome us, didn't even make us feel comfortable.
The waiter serving us was efficient, polite but again just lacked any warmth, care or sense of making us feel welcome. The ambiance is very bland, we all left pretty underwhelmed overall.
There wasn't anything in particular that stood out as memorable or enticing for us to feel like returning. The greatest part was probably the vegan menu which suited one of the people in our group.
So it was acceptable but...
