Silom Thai restaurant is one of the best if not the best Thai cuisine I've tasted in Sydney.

After visiting their place several times, we actually might have tasted the whole menu.

So we've tried the following and rate all of it a 5 star:

Soft Shell crab Chicken Satay Skewer -Prawn Tom Yum -Beef Massaman Curry -Prawn with Tamarind Sauce -Crispy Pork Pad Prik Khing -Eggplant and Tofu -Pad thai -Thai fried rice - ( Crowd favorite, just spot on on flavor every single time)

Their Thai Milk tea is the absolute best! With so much flavor and just the right amount of ice and sweetness, it is absolute perfection.

Value for money in this restaurant is achieved. they make big amazing portions and they also create wonderful experiences.

All the dishes here were made with so much love and passion you can taste it. The staff and owners are so nice and professional.

If you would want to be taken back to Thailand whilst you are in Sydney, this is the place to be.

Great food, Great ambience, great people! It's so easy to get to as it is in front of the bus stop. You can walk too, from the light rail.

Crown street- where it is located, is so alive, especially now during the Christmas season. They can get really packed and busy as their neighbor restaurants, it's best to call them for large groups in advance.

The second level of restaurant can also be booked for intimate events and is customizable, the owners really help you out and are flexible on what kind of event you want to hold.

I don't have many photos cause I was always excited to eat when I visit them. I'll update the next time...

I have ordered takeaway for the third time here today. Every single time when I’m collecting the food, I have been greeted with extremely rude service to the extent of basically asking me why I was there in the first place. After calling and ordering my takeaway for dinner today, I went into the restaurant and said could I pay for my order and the girl at the front rudely told me that there was no order under my name. I asked her to check and without doing so, she said no loudly again. I then said that was impossible since I had just spoken to a guy 10minutes ago who confirmed the order. She finally went to check my name and admitted to me that my order was not ready yet. To which my reply was, “I just wanted to pay for the order, not collect it. And you said that there was no order under my name twice.” No apologies was offered. She then punched in the numbers and gestured for me to pay. Can’t believe a business like this can survive with such incompetent...

Absolutely blown away by our dinner at Silom Thai! This cozy, lamp-lit spot in Surry Hills is perfect for a relaxed date night or catch-up over incredible food.

The duck red curry with lychee, tomato, and pineapple was hands down one of the best curries I’ve ever had. Creamy, aromatic, and packed with flavour. The beef Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with that signature tang and tender slices of meat.

We started with crispy enoki mushrooms which were golden, crunchy, and generous in portion and perfect for sharing. The tofu salad with peanut dressing was light and refreshing, balancing the richness of the mains beautifully.

To top it all off, the warm coconut tapioca pudding with cold coconut ice cream was an absolute standout! A sweet and salty combination that just worked. The honey yuzu soda was a refreshing bonus.

Attentive service, beautiful presentation, and incredible flavour all around. Can’t wait...

Unfortunately this is one of the worse Thai food I have visited in the city. Food: The Tom Yum soup tasted exactly like mixing instant paste with water as you can practically feel the texture of the powder in the soup. The fried rice was soggy and pad see ew was just plain normal. Satay chicken was way overcooked with peanut sauce spread across. Fried mushroom was well made albeit slightly too oily. Service: We were trying to shift our plates to provide space for the dishes but the staff had practically slammed our dishes onto the table and walked away. Requested for an extra cutlery as they missed a person and again they had it slammed onto our table. Probably better to visit other places such as YokYor, Bangkok, Satang etc,.. Update: Photos attached on our dishes ordered on the night to prove that I DID dined in at this restaurant since the owner has mentioned karma.
