Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area. We got the scallops, gyoza and prawn and vegetable tempura to start. The gyoza was extremely juicy and flavourful, the scallops were cooked to perfection and the tempura was unique with the rice bubbles in the batter. We got a place of Aburi salmon lovers sushi and also the curry with the pork and beef meat patties. The incorrect sushi was brought to me because of a mistake in the order but the staff were so amazing they did not doubt me for even a second and fixed the order straight away. The correct plate did not take much time to come out either. Moreover, the sushi roll was extremely well balanced and a great size for the cost. The curry was also absolutely delicious and probably the best we have had in sydney. Drinks were also tasty and brought out promptly. The Vanilla ice cream is also real vanilla bean. Overall, very very impressed with this restaurant. The quality of the food is impeccable, the prices are reasonable and the value is amazing. So nice to top it all off with great service. Will be...

This sushi restaurant quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. The sushi and sashimi are always very fresh, with nice clean taste and soft texture. The rice is well seasoned and balanced, and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. The menu has many options, from simple nigiri to special rolls, and everything we tried is prepared with care.

What I really like is that it is also family friendly. My kids love coming here, especially for the rolls, and the staff are always kind and patient with them. It makes the whole experience very enjoyable and easy for us as a family. The atmosphere is relaxed but still has a modern Japanese style, so it feels nice both for casual dinner and for something a bit special.

The service is friendly and fast, and the food presentation is beautiful without being over the top. For anyone looking for authentic sushi, fresh sashimi, and a place where both adults and kids can enjoy, this is definitely a great choice. We always leave...

We had quick lunch on recent Saturday at this small yet busy Japanese eatery. The menu options were quite big and we chose stir-fried ginger pork-belly (ton shogayaki) lunch-set and fried minced beef curry (menci-katsu kare) lunch-set. We also ordered fried chicken meatballs (tsukune) as side-dish and a nice, warm yuzu tea for a drink in winter season. All of our orders were nice Japanese dishes, though maybe not traditional style (a bit modern / fusion style). We love the fact that you can ask for the "spicy" option for your curry and other dishes in the tablet ordering system.

Prices on the menu are standard Japanese prices in the area. The place is quite small but has reasonable ambience. Services from floor staff is also reasonable for a small eatery in suburb like Artarmon. You can pay with all credit cards with no additional surcharge - excellent...

An enjoyable experience at sushi taro. We sat outside under the warm heating. For entree, we got the agadashi tofu. It was warm and very soft. The salmon and avocado roll was large and delicious. The aburi salmon lover roll was nice but the inside of the roll was avocado and rice only. The soft shell crab salad was fresh and light with a nice slightly tangy dressing. The teriyaki fish main meal was slightly crispy and sweet with a nice salad with yuzu dressing to accompany the dish. I wish there was more sauce for the fish to put over rice and the salad to be more flavourful. The karaage chicken was hot, crispy and paired nicely with the kewpie mayo, but was a bit salty. The unagi eel was delicious with the sauce being sweet and the egg shavings pairing nice with the whole dish. Rice and miso soup were added at an additional cost. Both were normal.
