Was so excited to go for nice dinner on Saturday night. Arrived just after 8pm and sushi train was almost empty. Was trying to order drinks and sushi and that was difficult as the waiter barely speaks some English. Responded with no sense to my questions. Customer service was really rude, they just wanted to close down and kept saying no more, no more. The staff makes atmosphere so poor and we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. How sad that they don’t understand that even as last customers (arrived just after 8 they were closing at 9:30pm!) we pay good money for our food and experience. Not to mention that quality of food is really down. So not eye appealing and fresh. Sashimi so weirdly cut. I didn’t even wanted to have it as I don’t trust the place after seeing food. Seemed like I could easily get food poisoning. So nope for me. Never ever again. This is the second time we give this chain a try and won’t be coming back. There is so many better sushi...

reasonable price, poor food preparation standards - bones and scales in the food on multiple visits.

We have ordered delivery from here twice. Service was quick, prices were reasonable, menu was good. We would have been happy with our food if we had not found bones in the salmon sashimi. The whole point of sashimi is to expertly cut the fish for best eating. Bones in sashimi is absolutely unacceptable.

We decided to give this restaurant a second chance. We did not order the salmon sashimi. This time we were disappointed instead to find a number of fish scales in each the salmon avacado roll and the mini tuna roll.

The consistency of having found fish bones and or scales in our sushi on two separate occasions speaks to poor standards of food preparation in the kitchen. I question what other preparation standards may be ignored and will not be...

Here is what you will see when you enter this restaurant after 8 pm. It said open till 9:30 but almost nothing on conveyor throughout the whole time before 8:30. The cooking staff was too busy to put more dishes on the conveyor because she needed to do the dishes and handle take away order first. The food I could get was also very disappointing. The sushi was either flavorless or full of mayo. The sushi rice is not well-mixed with vinegar, causing the Sushi Roll tastes like Korean rice roll instead of Sushi. And it was my first time in my life to eat a Gyudon made with sushi rice. The “Wagyu” was way too sweet, tastes like dessert. I wonder why so many people wait in line for this restaurant. It’s a...

I recently visited this conveyor belt sushi restaurant and had a mixed experience. The "Wagyu Udon" from the daily specials was disappointing, as the beef was not as flavorful as expected and the broth had a sour taste. However, the Tuna bag was a standout and highly recommended. The crispy soft-shell crab tempura was also quite good. The variety of sushi on the belt was decent, and the overall service was satisfactory. If you visit, I would suggest trying the recommended items but perhaps avoiding the Wagyu Udon.

Horrible... I ordered 2 udons for delivery (~$50) - have a look at the atrocity that turned up; 2 empty bowls and some noodles that were fished out of the delivery drivers backpack. After calling Sushi Train and speaking to several staff members, their response was "there is nothing we can do!". The complete lack of accountability from Sushi Train has compounded the negative experience we have had here. I would not recommend Sushi Train Newtown.
