Taste Legend — Restaurant in Sydney

Taste Legend is a cosy Chinese restaurant tucked away on Mountain Street, just a short walk from UTS. Nothing legend(ary) about this place. Waited for my take away order for 20mins cutting down my lunch break to scoff down my food in 10mins. They could have told me that they had ran out of supply for my order instead of keeping me waiting. Another alternative was to offer another meal in place of my order or a full refund. Instead, they chose to keep the customer waiting. They only told me they had ran out when i asked what's taking so long.

I also noticed that there was another person who have been waiting for so long that his colleagues who most likely walked in at the same as the other person (but decided to dine in instead) had finished eating and left the premises.

My order was simple. Bbq pork and duck. Nothing complicated when it comes to preparation. But it's too hard for them to let the customer know they have ran out or...

I was very disappointed with my recent delivery from Taste Legend. The stir-fried water spinach with fermented bean curd was extremely greasy, poorly seasoned, and the vegetables were overcooked and limp. The Mongolian beef was bland and the sauce wasn’t reduced properly — overall, the food was very underwhelming. I had ordered from here before and the food used to be quite decent, but the quality this time was far worse.

What made it worse was the customer service. When I called to give feedback, the staff’s first response was, “What do you want?” — no apology, no explanation. I found that attitude extremely disrespectful.

Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again and wouldn’t recommend it to others. I hope they take food quality and customer feedback more seriously...
