This meal was an absolute bloody disaster! Garlic pork slices without cucumber? That’s just ridiculous—cucumber’s hardly a luxury item! They chucked some watery cold noodles underneath instead, and get this, the noodles weren’t even fully cooked—half-raw and chewy as hell. Then there’s the so-called stir-fried beef—what a joke! It was just a slab of meat coated in flour, barely fried, and slung onto the plate, leaving that gross, gluey starch taste lingering in my mouth. And the spicy chicken? Christ, it was so fiery you couldn’t even eat it. The menu had some “boneless” upgrade option next to it—already a $30+ dish and they’ve got the nerve to charge extra for that? I didn’t even bothering adding it—and yet they still served up a pile of chicken leg scraps. Either the tips or the ends, barely a shred of meat, just bony bits and gristle smothered in chili. My mouth was on fire, and I had to wash it down with tap water just to choke it down! I’m bloody gobsmacked—we ordered three dishes, every single one was near inedible, and the bill still came close to $100! Mate, are you serious, boss? How does this joint even stay afloat? Shocking food, piss-poor value for money—I reckon you couldn’t give a toss about your customers. Are you that skint or crooked, or do you just figure punters will come and go, so who cares how crap it is?
Read moreDecided as locals for over 15 years we would do zetlands own spice alley. We chose this as the first place on a Friday night as it was fuller than all other restaurants. The ordering system was a little clunky though the waitress was extremely helpful. Quite a variety of dishes. We had eggplant, cumin lamb and kungpow chicken. Dishes were massive and extremely salty. Finished 2 and took one home (eggplant). Sad to see how much food was being thrown out from other tables. Constructive suggestions - make dishes smaller and cheaper....
