Thai Square — Restaurant in Sydney

I have never given a one star review and i never write bad reviews of restaurants, if they are poor, i leave it to others to find out. But this restuarant needs to fix its act. From the moment i walked into the door it took 10 minutes and 3 separate waitresses who i told individually that i would like a table of 8. The three had asked me if i had been already served every single time before i got a confirmation. It then took another 30mins just to get the menu and table water and another 15mins to receive what we would like to order. The waitresses were NOT incompentent but rather the entire restaurant was disorganised.

The food then took ANOTHER 40 MINS! The food was subpar and not at all impressive. The price is fair for the location, it's expected to be a bit higher in the Blue Mountains. When the food did arrive however, the dishes arrived 20mins within another! Because of this dysfunctional restaurant, it cost me a time poor evening in Katoomba. Absolutely unacceptable. If you have tourists or even locals, no one wants to sit in a restaurant without cutlery, table water or serviettes for 1.5 hours and then wait another 1 for food.

I would highly recommend others frequent another establishment and 100% avoid Thai...

Now, two years later, after having ordered from Thai Square many times, we find that the food portions are smaller, the prices are much higher (i,.e. OVER-priced small portions), and the delivery time has grown to be ridiculously long. If I order a meal from the Katoomba Family Hotel, it often is delivered within 20 minutes or half an hour. Nowadays, ordering from Thai Square takes a good 2 hours, even if you order at 5:00 or shortly after. I hope they will hire more delivery drivers! Two hours is just way too long to wait. My friends took me out to lunch here at Thai Square in Katoomba while I was away on holidays there.This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I had sweet and sour chicken with vegetables which was $17.90.Then if you wish to have rice with it you have to pay extra for servings of rice to accompany your main meal.The rice is available in three different sizes and I got the smallest size available which was about $6.So my whole meal cost $23 all up so an inexpensive restaurant for very nice food with very generous sized servings for meals.I would definitely recommend Thai Square for a nice meal out for either lunch or dinner if you are ever...
