DO NOT RISK - THE DELIVERY SERVICE LACKS (so does the empathy of the staff) Dec 18th was the last day at early learning school for my 3 year old son. His birthday 20th Dec. with his birthday so close to Christmas, it was important he had special birthday cakes delivered to celebrate with his classroom friends. He was so excited to have dinosaur cupcakes ordered for his birthday. Sadly they arrived after school close. I paid $126 for dinosaur cupcakes to be delivered to his school. At 445pm I arrived to pick my son up and was told the cupcakes never arrived so he didn’t get to sing happy birthday. He was devastated! I couldn’t understand what went wrong I tried calling The Cupcake Room, with no luck because the phone was engaged for 15mins. I finally got through and when they finally answered I was met by a very relaxed non bothered staff member, who said the delivery driver is literally there at 5pm. And I’m sorry you selected standard delivery ($17,50) that gives us a window between 9am- 5pm and it’s not 5pm yet.as I explained to her it was clearly marked to be delivered to a school and why didn’t anyone let me know. She wasn’t bothered, she replied but he’s literally there. The delivery driver was lovely and was very empathetic, he said he was sorry and the order had meant to be picked up for delivery at 930am but an error had occurred and he picked it up instead to make sure they were at least delivered. Lovely honest man!! Sadly, I had to stand in the rain outside my sons school because it was closed by 5pm. I received $126 in cupcakes after the children had all left for Christmas holidays. Very poor service The Cupcake Room!!!I will never risk a special occasion on your unreliable...
Read moreMy company was in Sydney for a tradeshow and we were hosting a customer event one evening. I ordered $200 worth of cupcakes (pre paid) from Maria and arranged for them to be dropped at the venue at 6:30, to be received by me. All arrangements were clearly defined in writing. Apparently the cupcakes were dropped several hours earlier and I was not informed, at all. So when I got to the venue and was busy dealing with other vendors and greeting guests, I actually forgot that we we were to receive the delivery at 6:30. I didnt remember until t he end of the evening when I thought about dessert. At that point, however, I assumed that Maria had just forgot or something happened...and I planned to contact her the next day. I contacted her the next morning only to hear that the delivery was made, the venue was asked to store them and to also let me know that they were there. Obviously that communication did not happen...and whether or not it was the venue's responsibility is debatable. I maintain that the agreed upon delivery time was 6:30 and that time was not only not met but also no one told me of the change. Yes somehow, Maria has kept all of my payment and offered no more than misplaced blame and a lame apology. I have NO recourse and am extremely disappointed by this whole...
Read moreI ordered 1 cake and 24 mini cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday, all in Sesame Street theme. I placed the order online without visiting the store, speaking to a human, or being given any recommendations from friends of family - so I was a little nervous. I shouldn't have been. My expectations were far surpassed in both presentation, taste and customer service. I actually cried I was so happy that the cake/cupcakes put the world's biggest smile on my little girls face when she saw them and consequently starting munching on a Cookie Monster cupcake! I can't thank these guys enough. What they delivered was perfect and so so yummy. It's 3 days after her birthday now and we're still enjoying cake that tastes like it was made this morning. The Cupcake Room is phenomenal, you won't be...
