Went for lunch and came back a week later for dinner! The food is super delicious and elegantly plated, with a clean and vibrant dinning area upstairs and downstairs with great views and friendly speedy service. Friday 10 November 2023 (Dinner) There were 3 of us in the group and we choose the 3 course dinner option giving you a great selection to order one entree, main and dessert from the menu. We encore the Escargots and picked 2 new items being the Roulade De Saumon and Bouillabaisse De Marseille. As the Kangaroo was so good for lunch we reordered and tried the Fillet Of Beef Tenderloin. Finished off with Warm Sticky Date Pudding, Kahlua Infused Chocolate Mousse and Belgian Chocolate Gateau. Roulade De Saumon The smoked salmon with the most delicious filling. This was outstanding and will be re-ordering on our next visit. Bouillabaisse De Marseille This is a traditional French seafood soup and the produce has been cooked perfectly and a must try for seafood lovers. Filet De Boeuf The Beef Tenderloin melted in your mouth and the sauce was rich in flavour and elevated the dish. This is a must try. Warm Sticky Date Pudding Out of this world and all 3 of us were fighting over the last piece. This is the number one dessert on their menu. The Hazelnut Ice-Cream is a close second. Mousse Au Chocolat Rich chocolate and a smooth textured Mousse encased in a choclate cylinder. I really enjoyed it! Gateau Au Chocolat A rich chocolate cake and reminded me of mud cake texture. Chocolate lovers will enjoy it. Saturday 04 November 2023 (Lunch) We opted for the 3 course lunch option for $45 which allows you to choose one entree, main and dessert. We choose the Escargots and Mushroom Crepe for entree. For mains we opted for the Kangaroo Fillet and Loin Of Lamb and finished with Handmade Profiterole and Chef Churned Hazelnut And Praline Ice Cream. Escargots À La Bourguignonne A crowd pleaser and the best tasting snail dish I have ever tried and recommend this as a must try when you visit. Crêpe Aux Champignons Et Poireaux Delicious and tasty with an amazing sauce. Filet De Kangourou The Kangaroo Fillet was out of this world and the sauce was bursting with flavour which elevated the dish. Best Kangaroo I've ever eaten and recommend ordering when you visit. Filet D'Agneau The Loin of Lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was outstanding, the potato was not to my liking. Chef Churned Hazelnut And Praline Ice Cream This was really good, absolutely loved it. Handmade Profiterole Was good, but prefer the other options

4.5 stars Venue: street parking or a few walk from light rail. Reservation is highly recommended. Two levels with spiral stairs, like inside a snail shell. Old style decent decor. Not fine dining setting but comfortable. Not packed. Nice to be seated at the window and viewing Darling Harbour and Pyrmont bridge. --- 8/10 Service : Tap water is available if you like. Attentive staff but lack of interactions. Food served rapidly, even faster than Chinese restaurants. No need to wait long between courses. Order at table. Pay at the front desk on level 1. --- 7.6/10 Mocktail,$ 8 and cocktail, $18 are available, and good value. - Virgini Mango Daiquiri, $8 - Midori Splice, $18 Food: provides 3-courses French meal. Lunch set $45 is cheaper than dinner set $69. Both menus are also attractive. Presentation is good, tidy, and simple. Good portion. Good quality. Good prices. We tried 3 courses dinner: Entrees: - Escargot a la Bourgouigonne: 12 snails marinated with herbal garlic butter. Served with 2 pcs of plain bread. Most popular dish. Some snails weren't well marinated. --- 7.5/10 - Pâté Maison: duck liver Pâté was so smooth. Served with 3 plain toasted French bread and 3 garlic bread, gherkins, grated carrots, and date chutney. Good combination. --- 7.8/10 Mains: - Magret de Canard: whole duck breast was spot on. The skin was so crispy. Raspberry sauce was nice. Spinach was cooked in Chinese style. --- 8/10 - Plateau de Fruits de Mer: a big dish. A Salmon fillet , 3 garlic Prawns, 2 salt & pepper Calamari, 2 chili mussels, 1 soft shell crab, and salad. Sweet chili sauce at side. Well-cooked. But, Taste was like a Chinese dish presented in a Western way. -- 7.5/10 Desserts: - Classic Crème Caramel: no garnish. Very lonely Crème Caramel. It is silky. --- 8/10 - Gâteau au Chocolat: with Raspberry Sorbet and Pineapple Coconut Candy. Is it the candy under the sorbort? It is not bad but not prominent. Cake and sorbet was yummyand well matched. --- 9/10

Haven't been back to Australia since February 2023, I took my mother, misus and daughter for a walk to Darking Harbour. Stumbled pass this place and I just wanted to have a look at the menu, saw Kangaroo which I really want to try while in Australia, but the ladies wanted to go for a walk, after crossing the bridge and the restaurants there did not seem that interesting to us at that time, I just that Kangaroo dish on my mind, so we decided to walk back. Upon arrival we got there almost 2pm, the wait staff politely inform us to please quickly order our food as the kitchen will be closing at 2:30pm which was no problem to us at all, totally understandable. We ordered; Escargot, Kangaroo Loin, Lamb Loin, Beef Tenderloin, Chicken & Chips for my little girl, and the Warm Sticky Pudding. Escargot was ok, Lamb and Beef was really good, well cooked and full of flavour. But the star had to be the Kangraroo, we ordered rare as recommended the meat is so tender and flavorful, this was truly memorable. Daughter enjoyed her chicks & chips. The Warm Sticky Pudding was the only dessert and it was the perfect way to end the meal, the balance of the temperature was really good. I will be trying to find more restaurant with Kangaroo dishes while I am here, this place is highly recommended but get there a little earlier than I did. There are other dishes I really want to try. If I get the chance to be back in Australia I will definitely return for sure. Thank you for the wonderful experience today. Keep doing what you guys are doing.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at The Little Snail Restaurant, a charming French restaurant that truly knows how to make an evening special. The service was impeccable; the staff went out of their way to ensure we have a memorable experience, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. They provided recommendations for all three courses since I couldn't pick. They also provided wine recommendations that paired well with our main meals. The service was quick and efficient. Our meal included several standout dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered the Escaegots De Bourgogne, Bouillabaisse De Marseille, Garlic bread, Cote De Veau, Marget De Canard, Handmade Profiterole, and Belgian Chocolate Gateau. The food was generally outstanding. Each dish was a restatement to Franch culinary excellence, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. However, there was one disappointment: the handmade profiterole. Unlike the rest of our meal, it tasted stale and lacked the freshness we expected. It was an unfortunate blemish to an otherwise perfect evening. Despite this minor setback, our anniversary dinner was wonderful. The overall quality of the food and the exceptional service made it a night to remember. We look forward to returning and trying more of their delicious offerings, hoping their profiteroles will be fresh next time.

I came here via a Groupon booking. I’ve been looking to come here for years and finally got up to it. I heard lots of good things from my friends who also came here from Groupon or via a work event. All 3 courses were SPLENDID! To begin with the entree… We had a pate dish, snails (obviously!) and salmon roulade. The pate was good but unfortunately could not finish it all. The roulade was delicious and cute, but so small. Love the potato/cheese crisps on top of it. The snail was good, it had nice garlic flavour. Main: I adored the main!!! We had steak cooked at varying temperatures, medium to well done. All cooked very well. When some restaurants cook well done it ends up being hard and quite chewy but this wasn’t the case! All the steaks were very soft and juicy. Great sauce too. The duck was amaaazing. Loved by everyone in the group. We definitely should’ve ordered more duck! Nice and tender. Desserts: The star of the dessert is 100% the warm sticky days pudding. I dare say it is one of my favourite dessert I’ve had at a restaurant 👀 It was so nice and was paired so well with the ice cream. We also had the profiteroles and hazelnut ice cream. They were both good but did not compare to how beautiful the sticky date pudding was. Highly recommend getting it!! Overall, this was a great restaurant that left me and my stomach very happy! ☺️

In all honesty, the food looked good, the place was packed so clearly, they have a customer base, but everything just tasted so bland. This leads me to believe that I must be the issue. I can see other reviews praising the food and such, however I just did not have that experience. The escargot tasted almost like nothing, sure there was a bit of garlic and butter but you would not be able to discern any memorable flavor or experience from eating them. Same with the other dishes, except the desserts. The desserts held some merit, they were full of flavor and rich. I guess what I am trying to say is, if you want something very mellow, factoring almost no extension of the very basic palate - this is the place for you. For others that enjoy spices, or eat a wider variety of foods, maybe this is a one-time try situation for you, and you will move on very quickly. The 3 stars is because there was clearly a lack of service staff, the food looked like it was prepared by new staff and really lacked any identity, for lack of a better word. Worth trying if you are looking for some BASIC flavors, in hindsight, I personally felt it was lackluster.
