The salads on display looked nice so I ordered a "family size" half seafood and half beetroot and ricotta salad.

It looked like the assistant only pulled the salad from the bottom of the salads where it only appeared there were the greens and not the seafood or beetroot and ricotta.

Maybe this "technique" was to keep the displayed salads looking their best?

When I got home I had 2.5 prawns and 2 pieces of beetroot and 1 piece of ricotta. Basically I had a container of spinach and rocquette for $15.50.

Instead of writing a second review I thought I should update my original review.

I recently tried The Lure again, we ordered grilled barramundi and battered flathead with chips. Both fish were fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection, the chips were plentiful, crispy and fluffy.

Best fish and chips I've had in Coogee/Clovelly area. I...

Drove an hour from Western Sydney on our only day off for fish tacos. Got here and was told there aren’t any fish tacos. Fine. Ordered a 45$ meal for 2. Got our meal and they forgot to add tartar sauce, we had to go back and ask. Then we realised they hadn’t added the lemon either, had to go back a second time to ask. As others start receiving their meals, we see a plethora of tacos coming out of nowhere, only 1 order after us. Not only did we drive out for nothing and were told what we wanted wasn’t available when it obviously was, we were also met by poor service having to go back for our condiments. I never leave google reviews but this was just a terrible experience and I left so...

They wear gloves for hygiene but yet use the same hand with gloves to handle money or eftpos machine and using it to pick ur selection from the window ... thats just wrong and also the oil they cook in is verry old hasn't been changed in a while and things have been served way too oily. this place use to be good but its really going down hill tbh ohh and lets mention the salad how big are the pieces of tomatos and cucumbers they do that so they dont fit too much in the container but so big to eat so thats a big downer Hopefully they pick there game up before it goes under

Ps please cut ur lemons are little bit bigger so we are able to grab it and actually squeeze it on...

I used to go there and enjoyed the fish burger which was moist, juicy with yummy homemade sauce in it. However today’s fish burger was very disappointing. The fish was very thin and dry to the extent that I thought they gave me the wrong thing as it was so different from the old days. The fish fillet was also small that it could be rarely seen in the burger (see photo- where is the fish?). There were not much sauce also and I felt like eating a dry salad the fish burger. I miss the fish burger in the old days were so good back then, but not anymore. Outside tables were dirty while inside the music was too loud.

Used to be Great Fish & Burgers at this place. Somewhere in late 2024 they changed so that the burgers we're up by 30% and then you can't get fish without chips anymore and the price went up a lot more than what it would have cost with fish plus chips before. For example fish by itself was 10 to $12 plus 4 for chips. Now Fish & Chips are 18 to 20 +. I don't eat chips so effectively it's doubled in price

This was a great meal after completing the Bondi to Coogee walk. The fish was covered with a thin, crispy batter, and it was also flaky, moist, and fresh. The chips were a bit soggy, which I like, and were perfectly seasoned with some salt and pepper. However, the gourmet salad could have been cut into smaller pieces; it was more like chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers with cheese and vinaigrette.
