EDIT: New review I went back, as friends were keen for Indian in this area. They've changed their menu to reflect actual meals served, Dishes were good. Staff try their best. English is a barrier... So if you ask something and don't get it, keep asking. You'll get it eventually...one of our friends was Indian, that helped a lot. Moving rating from 1/5 to 4/5 stars. Old review: Really disappointed in this restaurant: the staff, the lack of quality ingredients, customer service, a number of the dishes on the menu are not available - the lack of care factor. They advised us that they won't ever have a number of items on the menu and never planned to?! Then why are so many of them on your menu's? If they were mis-printed, wouldn't you just score them off with a marker? It's dishonest. It was bad the first time we went back in early October, that I held off writing up a bad review, thinking it could have been due to COVID: lacking staff or them opening up a few months ago. We went again, it was the same and then because it's opposite the Sheraton, we had another team meal here. 3 times is not a one-off. This is a solid 1 star review from us.

We ordered dum biryani and a vegetable platter. The dum biryani tasted more like khichdi with chicken, and I couldn’t even recognize what the vegetable platter was supposed to be. Neither dish felt authentically Indian. So far, I've tried three different Indian restaurants in Sydney, and all of them seem to be ruining the name and flavor of Indian food. They're creating their own version that tastes completely different from what you would get in India. I’m not sure about the other items on the menu, but the chicken biryani was a total scam. It was a waste of money. A vegetable platter without paneer or soya? What on earth?

I found this Gem of a place while searching for dinner options. The food tastes fantastic. Chicken Curry with Rotti was mouth-watering. Naan and Rotties are fresh and soft. Tandoori roti with Chicken or Lamp curry is a must-try. All the spice blends and tastes of the curries match with the Indian taste. A good portion of food for the money. Value for every penny. A must-try Indian restaurant around Central. Clean and ample dining area. Responsive service. The restaurant is located in the heart of Sydney.

Spice Central is an absolute gem that transports diners on an exquisite culinary journey filled with vibrant flavors and impeccable service. From the moment you step foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed with a warm ambiance and an enticing aroma that sets the stage for an extraordinary dining experience.

The menu at Spice Central is a delightful fusion of traditional and contemporary dishes, offering something for every palate. The moment we perused the menu, we were impressed by the diverse selection of cuisines and the unique twists on classic favorites.

To start our culinary adventure, we decided to indulge in a few appetizers. The Spiced Cauliflower Bites were a revelation, with the perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness, all elevated by a tantalizing blend of spices. The Tandoori Prawns were succulent and bursting with flavors that left us craving for more.

For the main course, we were spoilt for choice with an array of enticing options. The Butter Chicken was an absolute standout, boasting a velvety smooth sauce that harmonized flawlessly with the tender chicken pieces. The Lamb Rogan Josh was a symphony of spices, and the slow-cooked meat melted in the mouth, leaving us in awe of its complexity.

The culinary adventure did not stop there, as we explored some lesser-known dishes. The Paneer Makhani was a delightful vegetarian option, showcasing the chef's mastery in creating rich and creamy flavors. Accompanied by perfectly fluffy garlic naan, it was a match made in culinary heaven.

To round off this exceptional experience, we were treated to an assortment of delectable desserts. The Mango Lassi Panna Cotta was a refreshing and innovative twist on the classic Italian dessert, while the Gulab Jamun was a delightful ode to traditional Indian sweets.

Throughout the evening, the service at Spice Central was attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable. The staff was well-versed in the menu, offering insightful recommendations and catering to our dietary preferences with a smile.

The ambiance of Spice Central further elevated the dining experience. The sophisticated yet cozy interior, combined with warm lighting and tasteful decor, created an inviting atmosphere that was perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family.

In conclusion, Spice Central is a culinary haven that deserves every bit of its five-star rating. The restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients and creating an exceptional dining experience shines through in every dish served. Whether you are a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Spice Central is an absolute must-visit. Prepare yourself to be transported to a world of delectable flavors and impeccable hospitality - a dining experience that lingers in your memory long...

I regret to inform you about my exceedingly disappointing experience at The Spice Central, which has compelled me to voice my concerns regarding the food quality. Previously, I had enjoyed a positive dining experience at this establishment, which is why I chose to return for a second visit with my friends. Unfortunately, I was met with a stark decline in the quality of the food during this recent outing. To elaborate, the dishes presented to us were not only unappetizing but were also prepared in such a manner that their flavors were bland and unpalatable. In fact, I found it exceedingly difficult to consume more than a single spoonful, as the taste was overwhelmingly subpar. This experience has led me to conclude that the current quality of the food is not only inadequate but also constitutes a significant waste of money. It is with a heavy heart that I must express my disapproval of this establishment. For those considering a visit, I strongly advise against dining at The Spice Central. The inconsistency in food quality is alarming, and it detracts from what should be a pleasurable dining...
