2.1, down from 3.6 - Terrible service today. A whole 20 minute wait for just a Malabar Chai in a cafe that was only a third full. Tables who ordered after me got their hot and cold drinks 10 minutes before I did. I asked the waitstaff to make sure they hadn't forgotten my order and she said something like things take time to do. There was nobody queuing for takeaways either so I just waited but didn't appreciate the lack of an apology or care. Usually, they have very good Customer Service.
3.6 - I just pop by for a Malabar Chai now - it'sgotten much better ie. less sweet. Have had a Classic Chicken Sandwich here - Chicken, Swiss Cheese, Tomato and Rocket. Too much dressing on Salad (I didn't think to ask for it on the side). Waitstaff are lovely and I generally like sitting there, but these days Takeaway suits me. It needs a few minutes to brew. I pointed out that there was no latte art as I had asked for, but she insisted that I hadn’t ordered it that way and refused to make a new one. Instead, she told me to either take my money back or wait for another staff member to come and one was around.
This kind of attitude is unprofessional and not what I expected. A simple remake of the coffee would have resolved the situation, but instead I was left with poor service and a negative impression...
Read moreOne of the worst coffees I've ever had. Tastes burnt and watery at the same time... Espresso was bitter in the worst way, and it had zero balance. Not sure if the barista was having a bad day or is just incompetent, but I'm definitely not going back to find out. If you actually like coffee, skip this place.
Came in for brunch and had a pretty disappointing experience. The staff were rude and barely acknowledged me when I politely asked if they could clean the table—which still had scraps of food from the diners beforehand. Honestly, basic cleanliness shouldn't be too much to ask. If you actually care about eating somewhere hygienic with clean tables and utensils, you're better off heading to the café next door. Way more pleasant and...
