Cash only. Does not accept VISA credit. There are a lot of restaurants in Hurstville, and Time Brasserie is a uniquely Hong Kong style of Chinese food. So there's the English/Continental influence apparent in all the dishes. There's an air of authenticity about the menu, with one side written entirely in Cantonese characters, so for a moment you might feel like you were in Hong Kong or even Macau (they had Portuguese versions of oriental meals) We had the Swiss chicken, the pork and black bean and the Portuguese chicken. The meals were hearty and flavoured with ideas you would not expect... Curry in one dish and cheese in another. The hot milk tea was welcome and un sweet. They made the mistake of claiming they only accept cash. This is untrue. A business the size of Time Brasserie can accept EFTPOS / Credit Card payments. They made the mistake of demanding 40 cents on top of the $65 for our main meal. I pay cash so Time Brasserie avoids paying tax and management insists on demanding that extra forty cents? And yes it's within their rights to demand the extra forty cents but this mistake results in this review. So what? I said to the server at the time the demand for 40 cents amounted to stinginess. I paid him the extra forty cents but then I left this review. The Master said, “If your conduct is determined solely by considerations of profit you will arouse great resentment." Food taste really good! There is a large menu available, with breakfast, lunch, afternoon or dinner specials where you can add a standard drink for free or dessert for only $3 extra during dinner time. There is a good variety depending what you like eating - from baked rice to noodles to steak. I thought the food was really good!!

The restaurant lacks decor but it's comfortable. Good for families and high chairs are also available. They do have two big round tables for large groups but other tables are all square.

The service is fabulous. The waiters and waitresses are very polite and well mannered. Most of them have great memory as well and ensure your meals are followed up on if anything goes wrong. They try to ensure you have a fabulous experience.

There is parking underneath the building with two hour free parking. Two small levels of parking underneath.

Overall I'm satisfied with the whole experience. From finding parking to finding a good s seat, ordering and enjoying the food and drinks....

I went to the place to get a wagyu beef with chips. When I ordered, I was told by the waitress that I had to have egg if I wanted the steak set. Unfortunately, I am allergic to egg and cannot touch/eat egg, so I asked if I can remove the egg.The waitress refused. She claimed she wouldn't be able to talk to the cook, so she can't do anything about it. She told me she would remove it herself, AFTER the egg had made contact with the beef, despite the fact that I can't eat anything that has touched egg. So I asked if I could have wagyu beef with chips, nothing else, doesn't matter if I need to pay extra. The waiter said I couldn't get chips. She refused to ask the cook anything.
