Lusinata is an absolute gem in Hurstville! The owners, a wonderfully friendly and warm family, make every visit feel special. They always greet my wife and I with a smile, ask about our baby, and share their delightful stories.

The Portuguese tarts are incredibly authentic—just like the ones we enjoyed on our trip to Portugal. The son’s coffee is outstanding, and the cozy decor and ambiance makes it feel like you’ve stepped into a charming café in Lisbon.

They sell one thing in the shop, Portuguese tart. No cakes, no other pastries but Pasteis de Nata. If you want to have something else rather than Portuguese tarts, this is not the place for you. (I’d like to see varieties of baking goodness on the shelf in the future) 😌

Their Portuguese tart was good but not great. The molten spiced custard filling was creamy but a little sweet for my liking. Although the tart shell was crispy but it didn’t have as many layers as the great ones out there. 😌

Found this place by accident but geez I'm glad I did. Came with a friend during the week and we fell in luv with this place. We ordered coffees and of course the tarts. They came out with a little shaker of cinnamon great touch. As for the tarts oh my crunchy pastry with a delicate custard centre which was delicious not too eggey but smooth and creamy. The staff were friendly and attentive and the coffee was great as well. Will be definitely going back to this delightful place. Honestly the best Portuguese tarts I have had hand's down.
