You're in for a good story guys! The (western male) staff quite confused & (Asian male) staff very rude with attitude. They are at the coach tabby popup right now, the menu has coffee, drinks & sweets. Unde coffee had +50c for soy, oat, extra shot, ice. Below that was other items like other drinks and sweets. I ordered a matcha lavender latte $7 and was charged $8.12. When I ordered I just pointed & said 1 matcha lavender latte. The western male staff asked oat milk or normal milk, I was confused why he asked but responded with normal. If people have intolerance they'll be the one asking to change out the milk not the staff asking if you want change. Then he asked me if I want ice? I was thinking to myself, why I am being asked to customise I don't see any choices on the menu, I just wanted the standard, but since he asked maybe he's recommeding so I said ok maybe a little bit then?? Still I couldn't figure out why I was charged $8.12 so I asked him and he said because you got ice and that's +50c. I said to him it doesn't say that but he said it does. I was looking at it so confused, he then said " oh did you want hot then? but I've already made this one." So I felt like guilt tripped into letting this go. However I still don't understand the math $7+50c + surcharge still wouldn't be $8.12 unless they're charging people 62cents for using card. Crazy high so I started wondering what's the percentage for their surcharge and how much would it be if I wanted a lamington on the way out. Maybe they punched in the price wrong so I turned back and it was an Asian male staff. I said I got this drink was charged $8.12 don't know why when the staff that served me said +50c for ice but ended up being $8.12? He then said to me $1 extra for ice. LOL what???? I was shocked and pissed at this point because the drink was also sucked. It's just tasteless, diluted, watery & bland. He then rudely said "it says on there". Which it clearly wasn't, so I said it doesn't. He then said "I'll just give you a refund I'm not going to argue what's your card number". After I gave him the number he was trying to work the device and the western male staff walked passed and I was like ya so you said +50c but this staff says $1 I am just so confused, and I think the western male staff was too. the Asian male staff then grabbed $1 slapped it on the table rude demeanour saying "I'm not going to be here arguing with you so here's $1." He just jumped in with that rude attitude when he's the one that's in the wrong. Can you believe this guy? I was just talking to the western male staff that initially served me, at least he was calm. The Asian male staff with the long curly hair and moustache WOW! He works in hospitality with that kind of attitude. You're making the mistakes here sir. You're confusing customers, failing to communicate amongst your staff regarding pricing, failed to put the options and pricing on the menu yet refuse to believe the customer that it's not there, this whole time he didn't look at it while the sign was facing me.
I've taken a photo of it. Everyone else be the judge. Where's the +1 for ice for any of the other drinks?? There's options for coffee but nowhere this $1. So what's this guy on?? I don't care about the $1, it just feels like some trickery poor business conduct.
At least this watered down diluted milk thing I can say at least means there's also little to no sugar so can't be bad for you. No taste because clearly stingy with the matcha that's why also no colour. I see other people returning a cup half full so not just me that's reacting like that to this drink. If the drink was good I would have 4/5 star the drink and 0 star the service. Now it's just 1 star for both, if 0 star was possible I would pick that.
I've been to the shop many times for the lamington, I've not had matcha lavender latte there, don't recall it on the menu but I've had matcha latte there before. It was easy none of that milk, ice option questions. I've recommend many to try their lamington too. Well they'll be be...

Read moreI’ve been thirsting after this place for almost a year on Instagram, so I was prepared to be overhyped and disappointed. Thankfully it lived up to my expectations. Let’s start with the positives:
ambience: great location, a small and cozy venue with cute decor. Seeing as how I basically live in a muji show room, I am all for it. yuzu meringue lamington: spectacular. The filling has a wonderful balance of fresh tart yuzu with subtle sweetness. Consistency of the sponge cake is impeccable. Meringue is smooth and luxurious without being too sweet. blackberry pepper berry lamington: interesting. Probably polarising because of that savoury pepper taste. A much more traditional lamington texture and experience, but with a funky spicy twist. Probably wouldn’t get it again but it was interesting. In this day and age it is great to feel something again isn’t it? Hojicha latte: good Hojicha flavour and not too sweet. Yum.
The “mehs”: pies: this is a tough one. The actual fillings and the top crusts were quite nice, but all three of our pies had a bit of that soggy bottom syndrome. Nobody tell Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood!! I’ll give them another try to see if this is a one off glitch. hazelnut cookie: this is also a tough one. I think most will love it. Milk chocolate plus heaps of hazelnuts in a rustic homey package is what most people are all over. However, I am a worshiper of our lord and saviour dark chocolate. If this cookie had been dark chocolate I would be back for more. If you love Nutella though I am sure you will love this cookie!
Looking forward to returning and...
