The service was somehow worse than the food. Came here to try this cafe for the first time and will never be back. We ordered a sparkling water, thinking it might be house made given the price, and a small bottled sparkling water was brought out. We didn’t mind, and then opened the bottle to find it was flat. I politely tried to ask the waiter to take the water back when he gave us the food and he sped off ignoring me as soon as the plate hit the table. Then he passed by again, and I asked him again to please take the water back and explained that it was flat, he grabbed the bottle, read the label, said ‘it says sparkling’ and sped off again. So rude I couldn’t believe how disrespectful this man was acting. My boyfriend had to chase him down and he finally listened to him and got a refund on the drink. The rudeness completely ruined our experience and the food was actually disgusting. My boyfriend ordered the bruschetta and it tasted like the chef hated their job. Just look at how big those pieces of onion are. The shakshuka was mid but tasted nicer than the bruschetta. Overall, had a terrible time here and would strongly recommend people to avoid this cafe.

I'd really like to be able to give this place 4 stars because the service was good, they were really friendly, the coffee came out very quickly, the coffee did taste nice and they had some great ideas, but for a few reasons I can't. It basically came down to execution. The two meals we ordered came out about 5 minutes apart (and it wasn't like the place was busy at this stage), the souffle omelette was dry and the very dry toast came without butter. The omelette was ok, but it needed a sauce to accompany it. The mushroom breakfast was also ok, but maybe a more interesting cheese would be appropriate. I'd go back for coffee, but probably not for a full breakfast. Overall 3 stars, but a decent three stars.

Found the hidden gem in the local!! The best part is house-baked bread and cookies. The perfect level of the sweetness, not too sweet and not too blended with the freshness!! Freshly brewed coffee in the relaxed vibe. Didn’t expect we could taste the Kimchi fried rice, that was the real Kimchi fried rice!! The atmosphere in the cafe is truly local-friendly in the retro feeling surrounded by antique items and the relaxing vibe. The staff is so friendly and customer oriented. Definitely will come back again!! Short walk distance from Newtown station.

I visited the café at around 10:30 this morning and was asked whether I would like to dine in or take away. When I replied “dine in,” I was immediately told, in a dismissive tone, “No, we’re full.” The staff member who spoke to me was a woman with shorter hair and an English accent. I have been a regular customer here for several years and have never before been spoken to in such a rude or unwelcoming manner. If the café truly was at capacity, I don’t believe I should have been offered the option to dine in. Furthermore, it did not appear to be full — there was a table in the middle waiting to be cleared, and several surrounding tables where customers had already finished. When I arrived, a couple ahead of me in line even offered to let me go first, as they were still deciding, which only highlighted the contrast with how I was treated. By the time I left, a queue had formed outside, and I could not help but wonder if other potential customers were also being turned away unnecessarily. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience at a café I have...
