Zambrero Bondi Beach — Restaurant in Sydney

lost my car & house key here, realised after not even 5mins went back to our table it was cleaned so nothing was there so I asked the manager if the girl who cleaned our table saw any key she said she didn’t see anything & had a very dismissive attitude towards the situation like she didn’t wanna help, so we decided to just look in the food bin ourselves but nothing there ( mind u there’s two bins for food & plastic ). I can understand if she put it inside the food bin if she was hurrying & just sweeping everything together but it wasn’t there. I asked for cctv footage the manager didn’t show me til about 20mins later so we were waiting outside most of the time cos it was “busy”, once she got the cctv she only let me see 10 seconds of footage of us sitting at the table, but I told her we just left 10mins ago so I wanna see the footage of when we left to see if anyone took the key within those 10mins. she went to the side watched the cctv herself & said she didn’t see anyone take a key so I asked to look at the footage myself & she refused to show it to me I asked is it illegal and in her words she said “no I just personally don’t wanna show it” even tho she was willing to show me just a few mins before then she says “maybe look in the bins “ and my key magically appeared inside the recycle bin mind you there was hardly any bottles in there & the girl who cleaned our table defs knew it was one of our keys picked it up and just threw it in there. I’m pretty sure prior they were annoyed at my group since we were sitting inside there eating & talking for about an hour, so they decided to play around by putting it in the bin & not even keep it aside incase we come back for it. The keys had a full set of house keys on it aswell so wouldn’t be hard to see when ur cleaning especially as it was put in the recycling bin. The manager also said “she’s young she didn’t realise” but she was old enough to seperate the food and plastic bottles? And not realise a full set of keys was in her hand while separating it. Review is just on service rather than the food. Be honest next time & put things aside when a customer leaves there belongings on one of...

I asked for a burrito with tomato and onion. But when it came out, it had corn on it. I hate corn.

What happened to the regular set up? Where you can move along the counter and point to what you want?

My burrito came with stuff I didn't even know you could get at Zambero's.

I had no idea what the staff were on about at all. I asked for tomato and onion. What's so hard about that? Or the original set up? What's with the little board you need to point to? (When staff apparently aren't listening to what you ask for?)

This set up isn't working clearly. What if someone was allergic to that stuff?

The set up I'm familar with has never caused issues at all.

Disappointing Experience – Unfriendly Service and Overpriced Food Zambrero Bondi Beach restaurant, the owners of this place were quite unprofessional and gave off a very unwelcoming vibe. The food portions were very small and, unfortunately, not very tasty. We also received something different than what we had ordered, and didn’t get what we had paid for.
