We had the worst experience of our trip to Tassie with customer service at this place so walked out without ordering anything. First of all my wife asked if they had gluten free options and received a very curt reply - “yep!”. Then my son and I approached the same guy at the counter who appeared to be serving. I asked if the sign above the counter contained everything on the menu. We received a blank stare and a nod. Ok I said could I please order….. then before I could finish he said you need to wait for the other staff member as he can’t do two things at once! 5 out of 5 stars, me and my partner live down near blackmans bay but we travel up the east coast for day trips we always stop at Bicheno as it’s such a beautiful location, we happened appon Governors as it looked like it had a few people buzzing about and I can see why, the guy behind the coffee machine was chatting away to everyone inside and the food looked better then I’ve had at most Sydney cafes. These guys know what they are doing it’s not pretentious it’s just simple, I had a great BLT and my partner had a potato focaccia and an amazing sticky chai. I wanted to get another BLT for the road but my partner fat shamed me so we will just have to come back hahaha

We absolutely loved our visit to this charming café! The atmosphere is delightful, warm, and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We stopped by for a morning coffee and cake, and upon recommendation, I tried their sticky chai, which was truly amazing—perfectly balanced and flavorful. My sister enjoyed a delicious matcha that she said was one of the best she's had.
