Coco Thai — Restaurant in Tenterfield

Very good authentic food, run by a Thai family, their noodles are in many if not most dishes applicable are hand made .Their sauces are always tasty & fresh. If you like it really hot just ask them to prepare it the way you like it best & they will do just that. I recommend this restaurant, one thing for sure you won't be disappointed & you are guaranteed to have a delightful meal, you can BYOB if you like. Nice filtered drinking water is offered. The dining space is a relatively small size so don't be surprised on some weekend nights if you have to wait or return, reservations are a good idea if you think of it. I wonder whether there are two chefs? We tried Coco Thai on the basis of some good reviews but were very disappointed. The food was bland, overly sugary, had limited ingredients and was quite pricey. Given that quite a few guides have raved about this place the two chefs explanation is really the only one I can come up with. For reference, we were here on the evening of Wednesday, 28th April. This Thai restaurant had great service, and only a 30 minute wait for our food. The fried rice here has great flavour and I just couldn’t get enough of it. Loved and savoured every bite of it and the chicken wings are just to die for. The outside just needs a touch up to build confidence for travellers to try this place and not think it’s dodgy. It needs to be more inviting by painting the walls a more unique than just a plain boring wall as well as some paintings to create that unique atmosphere.
