Turkish Oven And Hand Made Pizza — Restaurant in Victoria Park

I've been coming here for many years - and the food's great. Kebabs are fresh - good ingredients and fresh salads, Gozlemes are great too. But a visit and an incident a few weeks ago has soured my relationship with this establishment and I shan't return.

I'd been broken into at home, with my house ransacked and my car stolen - and no phone (stolen too). No neighbours around to help either. So walked down to the Vic Park strip to the nearest shop I liked - went in and ordered a meat box and asked for a phone call and explained my circumstances (cos I expected to buy something to use their phone - I've worked in many small fast food shops in my time). They took my order and the (owner, I guess?) mumbled "we're busy but after" (by the way, they weren't - there were 2 people in the shop except for me).

Waiting until my order was ready and I asked the young bloke if I could use the phone and he refused. Explained my situation and refused again, aggressively. So I left with my meat box.

The pub across the road let me use their phone. Didn't even cost me a pint.

No humanity. No compassion. I regret the hundreds of kebabs that I've eaten from here in the past 20 years. Would never return and would recommend that anyone else take this story into account when ordering here. There's plenty of kebab places in Vic Park owned by empathetic human beings that deserve...

Last week FAWAD KHAN came into our restaurant with his friend. FAWAD was being rude & disrespectful. He had placed both his feet up on the chair. I asked him nicely can you please sit properly and then he began raising his voice at me & swore. He yelled at me saying I’m the customer, you can’t tell me what to do. At this time there were other customers sitting and they were not happy and complaining. The way he spoke & sat at the table wasn’t pleasant and I won’t accept it at all. I gave FAWAD a full refund for his meal & asked him to leave my shop immediately. The review he has left is false & made up. I didn’t try to punch him or make any racists...
