I had the pleasure of hosting my birthday party at Dutch Trading Co in Western Australia, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience! This venue undoubtedly holds the title for the finest craft beer establishment in the region, and I am more than happy to sing its praises. So, allow me to share the memorable moments of our celebration! From the moment we arrived, Dutch Trading Co exuded a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. The staff members were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure our event was truly special. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality added a personal touch that made our group feel valued and appreciated. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the craft beer selection. Dutch Trading Co boasts an impressive array of craft beers that would delight any beer enthusiast. The variety on offer was truly remarkable, with an extensive range of brews from both local and international breweries. Each sip was a delightful exploration of flavors and craftsmanship, leaving us thoroughly impressed. To complement the fantastic beer, Dutch Trading Co's food menu was equally outstanding. The culinary offerings were thoughtfully curated to enhance the overall experience. We indulged in delectable appetizers, satisfying main courses, and delightful desserts, all of which showcased the kitchen's dedication to quality and flavor. It was a culinary journey that perfectly complemented the craft beer selection. What sets Dutch Trading Co apart is its family-friendly atmosphere. It is a rare gem to find a craft beer venue that caters to families, and Dutch Trading Co does so effortlessly. They provide a warm and inclusive environment that accommodates guests of all ages, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and welcome. It made our birthday celebration even more enjoyable, knowing that everyone could partake in the festivities. I can wholeheartedly vouch for Dutch Trading Co as the ultimate craft beer destination in Western Australia. The exceptional beer selection, the inviting ambiance, and the attentive service make it an unparalleled experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a remarkable craft beer outing, this venue delivers beyond expectations. In conclusion, our birthday celebration at Dutch Trading Co was an absolute delight. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an exceptional craft beer experience in Western Australia. Cheers to Dutch Trading Co for an unforgettable evening!

Context: frequent traveler and sociologist to 15 countries. I went on a Thursday night, and enjoyed the familiar R&B music. Wasn’t too loud like most places, and there was a mild crowd that gave polite space to each other. I got the set of 4, and encouraged the happy bearded chap at the counter to decide the flow of drinks for me. Steven was upbeat, thoughtful, and even quickly found a way to tackle the overflow of foam. I’ve left detailed ratings on Untapped, but the 4 tasters I’ve had were encouraging. Hopefully, friday won’t be too crowded and I’d be happy to order food then. Lovely fellows. Hope I’ll get to have the challenge of rating their food tomorrow.

Awesome bar with a huge selection of local beer and international craft beer. The interior is decked out and looks great, food is always tasty. They even have a back area with booths and more tables. Definitely recommend you visit. Edit: following up a year later. Still come to this venue and always have a great experience. There is a nice range of takeaway beers available for purchase as well which is great to see. Meals are still great and staff are very helpful when recommending beers to suit your tastes.

Good atmosphere and good selection of beers. Bar and floor staff friendly. Unfortunately food not good :( and that's being nice. Well over priced and the chef should go on a vacation as cooking is definitely not his vocation.

Response to Owner (Venue Manager)

  1. my friend an I both ordered the same item from the menu (turkey club sandwich) i requested that they take out the curried egg and bacon in my order only This was a second choice as we were advised the kitchen had run out of all burgers. My friend has sent you an email advising she was also disapointed with her meal.

  2. your staff member only offered me the option to talk with the manager on one occasion (after going back to the kitchen with our query was the yellow dressing mustered or some other dressing she advised it was curried mayo.

  3. no one ever 'tried to right the wrong" and omitting two items out of the order is not in my opinion 'changing the entie dish to suit'

  4. never did I or my friend say anything to anyone about being 'family friends of the owner" my friend did mention that the owners nephew had recommended her to drop into the DTC when she came to Perth (from Melbourne) hence out visit.

  5. we 'clearly' did want to enjoy our time at the DTC or else we would never have visited the establishment because there are numerous other places to eat and drink in the Vic Park area.

I will forward my contact number via your email address if you wish to discuss further.

It is unfortunate that you appear to have taken my review personally given the tone of your...

A few of us met up there on their "steak night" Tuesday, and on arrival were quite impressed with the layout, spaciousness and atmosphere. That was where the impressiveness came to a grinding halt. Our small gathering ordered 4 "steak specials" for our table, (in 2 or 3 seperate orders) only to be told more than 20 minutes later there was only 3 steaks remaining so someone had better think fast as to who's going to "miss out" (barely upon reflection) and have to quickly order something else from the menu.

The replacement burger my friend ate was very ordinary apparently.

4 of us had also ordered the skewers plate thinking that would definitely prevent any chance of hunger when combined with the "steak special" (not very special at all if you enjoy a medium rare 250g steak).

I drew the short straw (and piece of meat) when I was presented the most undernourished, undesirable tasting steak I've endured in years, only to still have to wait an extra 20 minutes longer than the others eating at our table for my skewers plate (add an extra $30). I thought the steak was a disappointment... Well the skewers took the cake 🍰 (if only literally, as I may have left feeling somewhat satisfied and full. Figuratively only unfortunately)

I had to raid the fridge upon arrival at home after 10pm, where a nice meal had been cooked that...
