7 origins westfield — Restaurant in Victoria

Well, this place has fallen a long way over the last several months. Not sure whether it’s due to a change of management or what but it almost needs a different name so the people aren’t misled. The place people speak of is not here when they talk about how good the coffee, food and service is.

Coffee grind so fine, it flows through the group handle into your cup, followed by burnt milk at a temperature where you couldn’t even touch the cup. Had to leave to cool down after already waiting 30 mins to only end up drinking an undrinkable coffee. Food took even longer to come out, which then looked like it was prepared by savages that have never used fire before.

The kitchen seems to have been filled with people with no clue about order preparation, que, or urgency. And pick the easy stuff first hoping someone else takes on the more difficult order that involves some sort of effort. Then leave the customer facing staff to have to constantly apologise to the customers about what’s going on. We have gone and dined it at 7 Origins at Westfield Geelong approx 3 times and every visit has been so positive. The Staff are always friendly and go above and beyond with their service, nothing is ever a trouble for them. The food is amazing especially the breakfast “French Toast” served with Mango puree, fresh blueberries and strawberries, mascarpone and maple syrup and honey. Soooo delicious.
