Eastern Beach — Attraction in Geelong

If you're looking for a great place for the whole Family to enjoy, then Eastern Beach is definitely the place to go!

The Public pool is FREE for all public access and comes with the added safety of having Lifeguards on duty throughout the day! It caters for all ages from the youngest member of the Family through to the Adults and more!! A highly recommended place to visit with the Family for a great day out!!

They have a mini Thomas the Tank Engine look-a-like Train service that travels alongside the Beach from the Pool to the Carousel and is a return trip! But who could forget the Ferris Wheel which runs in sync with the Train so you can catch a Train ride and jump off at the Ferris Wheel just in time!!

The Ice Cream vans are definitely worth a mention as well as the fantastic public playground for all ages and great options for food!!

3 stars was due to not enough cleanliness. Otherwise, this beach is hands down the best beach to visit, especially with a family. The cleanliness though - the bathrooms/showers were gross. Floors dirty, out of toilet paper, dirty mirrors, broken sink taps etc, and a bad smell. Also, the baths themselves should be more clean, alot of sand and the glass windows very dirty. Mosquitoes - council need to spray grass area and surrounds for mosquitoes. It isn't good that people are just getting eaten alive by disease-carrying mosquitoes. The solution is pretty simple. Council has plenty of money, so please spend it for the people like hiring more cleaners, and insect treatment. Then this beach will be...

The Eastern beach is possibly the most beautiful part of Geelong! It always makes us feel content and happy when coming here! Our visit today was on a nice cool summer day with not a strong burning sun, so it was just amazing to walk all the Eastern beach from the carousel all the way to the bathing enclosure. On a holday like today, you can see many people walking up and down and having pic nics! The children's pool was very busy today and children were having lots of fun. The big wheel is also an opportunity for something special there! If you are ever in Geelong, it is worth parking a bit away and enjoying a walk all along...
