Terrible experience! It wasn't our first time at Cantina, but I can guarantee it will be the last. Myself and four family/friends went for dinner tonight. Everything started off well, ordered and received drinks. It all went downhill from here. After quite some time, we had to flag down staff to order food. We were told there were no prawns left and very little chicken. This was at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Twice, we ordered drinks and were missing one. On three occasions, we approached the bar to order drinks as no staff were paying attention/attending tables. When the food came out, there were 15 minutes between first and last. The last meal was a taco. When it came time to pay, we nearly walked out without paying, as we stood there for several minutes, whilst staff were chatting amongst themselves. We were there for 3.5 hours and were approached less than 5 times. We would have ordered more if given the chance but were left frustrated. Aside from this, food was okay. Again, it was very disappointing. There is very little care anymore. Staff seem more interested in speaking with each other than engaging their customers, who in turn, keep...
Read moreFront of house service staff get 5 stars. They are young, but they are switched on and did everything possible to make my dining experience enjoyable and met my requests with enthusiasm. I can't rate them highly enough as their level of professionalism and ensuring efficient delivery of orders. What let this place down was back of house, both literal back area and staff. The corridor and toilet area was a little less clean and comfortable than what I'm used to when dining out. Even being what I would assume is a busy night, the chef hadn't prepped the item I ordered, so it couldn't be ordered by anyone. I had to reconfigure my meal, which was easily accomplished. I also ordered a takeaway churros with both sauces. The chocolate was not a luscious milk chocolate, but kind of a darker taste. What was really unforgiveable though was the caramel (or what is usually a form of dulce de leche, dolce de leite, aka cooked condensed milk) - it had been watered down into a thin runny liquid. A watery churros sauce is something you never want to experience or have served to you, trust me. So whether that was the owner or chef's decision, it...
Read moreI ordered 2 Trota's on tucker fox because it is such a hot day, I didn't want to wait in the hot shop. I got my message back from tucker fox saying that it was going to be a 45 minute wait! We went into the store to pick up my meal at the time that was said to me via tucker fox and they hadn't started our because the tucker fox order didnt print properly. They did not apologize for the inconvenience or do anything to make up for it. The menu was inaccurate and my partner who can not eat spicy food ended up with Jalepenos on his Torta. They put our order through the computer and the cost that came up for the same order was $5 more expensive than what it said it was going to be on tucker fox. We then sat in the shop and were made to wait for 30 minutes while they made our meals. They then forgot to give us our drinks on recieving our order. Once we got home we opened up our meals, the torta rolls and fillings were all soggy and the food fell out of the tortas after the first 2 bites and the CC's (chips) were really greasy and had a few with way to much salt and the rest with no salt. Incredibly disappointing and will not be...
