Exchange Hotel — Restaurant in Victoria

Visiting for the weekend for my sons birthday weekend popped in for a drink in the afternoon saw the food looked good booked a table for dinner. We should not have bothered not offered a kids menu my son chose a chicken burger we asked if it could be done without mayo or beetroot to be told due to Covid 19 and staff shortages they could not change the food . Its making a burger for gods sake just don't add what we don't like Poor to start with if we had thought we could have got in anywhere else we would have walked out. So instead my Son chose Chicken schnitzel along with me and my husband my Daughter ordered the Chicken parma $129 DOLLARS LATER The food arrived it was inedible the coating was soggy on all any restaurant who cares would always do a 3 min check to see if all is ok not in here. The waitress came to collect the plates all with food left on and took them away as fast as she could without a word or even the question was everything ok was something wrong with so much food left on the plate. Safe to say we left hungry and unhappy but was not going to argue the point when we had already been dismissed earlier avoid this place...

Located in the heart of Horsham, Victoria, it is a corner pub. It has modern settings, and is very pleasant to have a meal in. We had lunch there. It was a weekday and we stopped late, so there were not many people there. It seems a popular meeting place with friends, and there were many mothers there with prams. The steak was good, bread and soup also yummy. Steak was cooked exactly as requested. The meals are a good size with mashed potatoes made from real potatoes. There was also a large variety of Australian beer on tap. When we finished lunch, we noticed many of the tables had reserved signs on them already - with names, the time booked and the number of people coming. It must be very popular with the locals. As you enter the pub, there is also a large picture of the pub and who the previous owners were together with the dates they owned the pub. There is a bit of history to the pub, and the info is worth reading. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, a very good...

Typical pub with bar service no table service so all meals and drinks you need to order at the bar. I think Horsham hospitality is still stuck in the Good day sir Nothing has changed unfortunately I think they have a new shef and I think doesn't know how to cook a steak or pork 🤔 very disappointed 😞

Has a customer you must appreciate feed back and you ask your staff to report any problems, about your chef 👨‍🍳 if he has been there for over 12 months and still making little mistakes he needs a refreshing up date Ps not only I have spent over 45 years in hospitality also I have been a chef for 35 years and write recipes on the local newspapers 20 years ago . Last night, your bar staff were excellent 👌,I'm glad that things are improving; it's a great place and I think I want to be disappointed...
