Restaurant under new management!!
From the moment we arrived we didn't receive a hello or any polite warm welcome. This initially felt like a red flag. The staff even seemed confused on where to seat us even though we had a 6:30pm reservation. We were seated by the window and then simply forgotten about. We were not given a bottle of water, asked what drinks we would like or even given menus for a good 15-20 minutes after arriving, until we had to ask ourselves for the menu.
We were then able to order our drinks and ask for a bottle of water for the table. We sat patiently waiting and noticed the time was now 7pm and only one table in the room had their food.
We had ordered our food but the wait felt like an eternity. While we were waiting for our meals we noticed other tables had not yet received menus or asked to order drinks, meals etc. They waited so long that we then watched in the space of 30 minutes 4 separate tables get up and leave. We have never witnessed this happening before at any restaurant.
Our garlic bread finally came out before our meals, however it was cold and the plates provided were still wet and had clearly just come out of the dishwasher. This didn't feel hygienic at all!
We then watched other tables beginning to receive their meals, we witnessed several people turn them back as it was the incorrect meal to what they had ordered.
Before we knew it, it was 8pm and our main meals were no where in sight, we started discussing whether we should all consider leaving and trying to find a meal elsewhere. A waitress then came out to us and asked us what we were still waiting on, we simply said "our meals". After we stated this she appeared stressed and we began to wonder if our meals had even begun being prepared.
By 8:15pm our meals had finally made it to the table right before we were considering leaving the venue (almost a 2hr wait since the original start time of our booking).
The meals were okay but the service from the new management really put us off ever coming back. We were not offered any discounts on our meals/drinks or any apologies for the lack of service.
Unfortunately this new management has really ruined a beautiful restaurant that used to be run by such a beautiful family with incredible service, it's a shame they're holding onto the La Vista name when it's so evident they have zero hospitality and customer service experience.
Wouldn't waste your time...

From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an ambiance that seamlessly blends sophistication with warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
I had the pleasure of indulging in an array of delights, from the tantalizing seafood pizza to the decadent Nutella pizza that sparked joy with every heavenly bite. And let's not forget the fiery allure of the spicy chicken wings, a testament to La Vista's mastery of flavors and textures.
But it wasn't just the food that left me spellbound; it was the impeccable service and genuine hospitality exuded by the staff and management. Their passion for creating memorable moments for guests shone through in every interaction, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
As I savored each dish amidst the backdrop of La Vista's stunning interiors, adorned with an elegant touch, I couldn't help but feel a sense of appreciation for the attention to detail that permeated every aspect of this establishment.
In summary, La Vista is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination where culinary excellence meets unparalleled hospitality. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a promise to return, eager to relive the magic once again. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this culinary...
Read moreNew Years Eve dinner booking ruined the mood. Our order was taken at 8 pm, but even after constant trips to the front our meals started arriving more than an hour late. After 9 and the first things to arrive was the pasta. My pet hate - when a restaurant can’t organise the kids meals first, however they couldn’t even serve garlic bread, or wedges first. No entres first, which they blamed on the waitress not writing down the order (does a restaurant need to know what order to bring the items?).
But let’s back track and start with the drinks… mojito - was basically Soda, mint and little bit of alcohol and tasted terrible
Pina colada - came in a cracked glass which they did take back upon raising, but came back in a new glass way too soon, which suggested they just poured it into a new glass. It was shockingly bad. That should have been a sign.
Eventually when the food came out… wedges were not crispy and by the time they bought out a tiny little container of sour cream and sweet chilli some 20 min later the wedges were cold calamari was cold on arrival prawns were more like poached shrimp from coles crispy chicken wings could have been confused for malnutritioned quall shoe string fries they never brought out fettuccini marinara was strangely tomato based and was stuck together
And the garlic bread was salty and took an hour to be served.
Suffice to say we won’t be revisiting this...
