I'm a delivery driver who has had some rough experiences going to this particular Macca's but today took the cake. I understand some delivery drivers can be rude but I've never been anything but polite to the staff. However, some of their staff refuse to talk to any delivery drivers, saying they're doing the orders in the order they come through and will do them when it's their turn. That's perfectly fine and I would get that IF their system didn't have consistent issues with Uber Eats orders not going through into their system. I have had this happen at least 5 times across various Macca's in the area. This isn't their fault, but what is their fault is when they refuse to speak to delivery drivers, they have no idea that these orders have failed to go through, causing huge waits for both the driver and the customer who placed the order. Today, I waited for over 20 minutes being ignored and certain that the order I was waiting for had not gone through as it wasn't on the board. Finally, another driver got the staff member to listen to me and I showed him the order on my phone so I could make it. The order was 2 large fries and 1 large chocolate frappe. Sure enough, the order hadn't gone through their system which they could've known had they not ignored me. He goes to make the order and I watch as he grabs 2 small fries. I say to him that they're supposed to be large as it clearly states on my app but he tells me I'm wrong and that they're supposed to be small and that if the customer is upset, they can just request a refund. Of course, when I explained this to the customer, they were rightfully furious as they did in fact order and pay for large fries. I feel bad for my customer who had to wait excessive times due to a lack of care and then got significantly less food than they paid for because of an even bigger...
Read moreVery rude. Disgusted by Charlotte's (shift/duty manager) behaviour towards me.
I have never witnessed or been treated by any worker like I have been treated today ever.
Placed an order through drive through.
Go to pick up my order at the next window with a bag of food sitting there.
I go to grab the food and Charlotte appears out of nowhere and before i get to say anything, she goes something on the line of - what are you doing? You can't just take that, I'm supposed to hand it to you.
I'm thinkiny to myself, why'd you leave it there? Obviously, you left it there for someone to grab it (customer).
I ask for my drink that I thought would have been put through the previous window (which wasn't) and show her a code for a small soft drink.
She then proceeds with - was that on the screen when you paid for your meal at the previous window?
Me - I showed the code to the guy at the counter/drive thru. Can't you just put it through here?
The guy who put the order through clearly made an unforced error.
Charlotte - Bad luck. Looks like you're going to have to back in line.
Working as a contractor and dealing with clients every day, I've never ever used the disgusting tone Charlotte used towards me towards my clients. Even if you know that the client is in the wrong or whatever it is, the customer is always right, period.
Charlotte needs to improve and be taught how to communicate and rectify issues with clients or find another job where she doesn't have to deal...
Read moreUse the self serve screen . After ordering asked for table service the young girl was in training and asked another staff member.. she then said no. I said so why do you have the table numbers next to the screen. The manager came by and said they do table service but in the end I got it myself. I ha two kids with me and it makes it easier to keep an eye on them having table service. Also my son ordered double patty but only got one. He ordered angus burger and bun with double patty... so 4 out of five. Make sure all staff know if yes or no for table service and remove the numbers off the table if you don't. Also an elderly lady comes in and struggles with the door. Maybe think about automatic door. Or maybe a button press and the door opens for them... so, not to cause a draft. My kids notice lots of gum under your tables too. Just leave in positive note. All staff were well uniformed and groomed. And were out and about clean the table, chairs and...
