⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Authentic Vietnamese Phở & Bún Bò Huế in Geelong!
If you're craving real Vietnamese flavors—not the Aussie-modified versions with carrots and broccoli—this hidden gem is the place to go. The phở here is rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting, just like the bowls you'd find on the streets of Saigon. And the bún bò Huế? Spicy, bold, and absolutely packed with authentic flavor.
Portions are very generous, and you can tell the owners care more about quality than cutting corners. It's rare to find a Vietnamese spot that doesn't try to "westernize" the dishes, but this one keeps it 100% traditional—no shortcuts, no sweetened broth, no fusion tweaks.
Only downside? Their business name doesn’t include “Phở” or “Vietnamese,” so they don’t show up when you search for phở in Geelong, which is a shame because they’re hands down the best in town. This place is a local secret, but it deserves to be known.
Highly recommended for any true phở or bún...
Read moreWasn't the best dining experience that I imagined. The dining area feels cheap, and is completely different to the pictures you would see inside the restaurant on the internet. There is no toilets within the restaurant, and the only waiter in the restaurant advised us to go to the public toilets out on the street.
We ordered multiple dishes. None of them came out at the same time, which meant that others finished there meal before others got there's.
The chicken curry laksa was way too spicy to enjoy. The waiter should have informed us that it is way too spicy before ordering. I found the chicken in my laksa to be dry. Also, there was no coconut in the laksa.
The beef pho was average. We found the meat to be long and stringy.
Table water was only given when asked, and there wasn't enough for such a large crowd.
Overall, I definitely won't be going back, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going to Bay City...
Read moreThis place was busy with lots of Vietnamese people in there, so I assumed it must have been ok. It does look pretty dirty and rough, but the prices looked good so was happy to give it a go. I ask what can you do gluten free and the waitress has no idea what I am talking about. I say can you get someone else that can speak english and can understand gluten free, she goes off and talks to one of the other ladies and then comes back and says no can do. Now I know for a fact this is bull as I have had Vietnamese food many times before, in fact it is one of my favorite. I think they are just lazy or just hopeless. I'm all for multiculturalism but if you are going to be serving the public then you should learn how to speak english and it is 2016, come on your need to be able to cater for...
