Your typical Sushi Sushi stall in Westfield Geeelong shopping centre. The sushi we got was surprisingly fresh and nice, but then again its your typical mass-sushi vendor. The display did not have a wide range of sushi selections and had one whole part empty on a busy Friday afternoon. It seems that the business owners dont care too much about their business ... What was outrageous was the fact that the few tables that they have were filthy (they were disgusting to touch, let alone put your food on them) and the rubbish bin was overflowing right next to the tables. The staff didnt seem to care at all. The staff were young peole (probably students) trying to make a buck, so they did not even look to see if anything was wrong there. It's sad when a business with such potential and with good food is declining in such a way.... It wont last much.

On a whim, decided to grab some sushi whilst heading out of the shopping centre. It was well after 4pm, so didn’t expect there to be much left but surprisingly for better or worse, there was still quite a bit to choose from 😉 After standing at the counter for a considerable amount of time, thinking the staff member was busy… I then realised he was in fact just playing on his phone and was completely oblivious to me being there until I got his attention 🙃 While pleasant enough while interacting with me, he definitely had a case of Monday-itus. The Seafood Inari was delicious, 5 stars. The Panko Prawn Nigiri was good but they’re always better ordered fresh in a restaurant setting. This is your stock standard shopping centre sushi joint. Nothing to write home about but will ease your craving 😁

Bought take away hand rolls for dinner here twice. Basic kiosk set up in the centre of the Westfield shopping centre. Modest selection of sushi products which limited choice. Food was fresh and similar to other outlets. Young staff who need to improve customer service.

Sushi Sushi has always been one of my favourite spots for delicious sushi, and my recent visit only reaffirmed my love for this place. The sushi, as always, was impeccable, but what made this visit even more memorable was the unique character who joined us at the restaurant. Let me share the details of this fantastic experience.

As soon as I walked into Sushi Sushi, I couldn't help but notice a towering figure sitting at the corner table. This gentleman, who went by the name Neo, stood at an astonishing 7'4" tall. His presence was truly imposing, and his shirt seemed like it was struggling to contain his impressive frame.

What made Neo particularly remarkable was his unabashed enthusiasm for the recent Australian referendum on LGBTQIA+ rights. He was positively beaming with happiness, and his radiant smile was infectious. As we struck up a conversation, it became evident that Neo was not only passionate about LGBTQIA+ rights but also held strong views against toxic masculinity. He believed in promoting inclusivity and respect for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or expression.

Now, onto the food and service quality at Sushi Sushi. The staff at this establishment never disappoints. They were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Neo and I both felt welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. The moment I placed my order, I knew I was in for a treat. I decided to try something different this time and opted for the salmon pancake.

The salmon pancake was a delightful surprise. It arrived at the table beautifully presented, and the taste was out of this world. The combination of tender, thinly sliced salmon and the fluffy pancake was a match made in heaven. The dish was garnished with fresh herbs and drizzled with a delectable sauce that elevated the flavors to another level.

As Neo and I continued our conversation, we couldn't help but appreciate the excellent sushi offerings at Sushi Sushi. The menu, as always, had a wide variety of options to suit every palate, from classic sushi rolls to innovative fusion creations. Neo, despite his towering presence, had an equally massive appetite and thoroughly enjoyed his sushi platter.

In conclusion, my visit to Sushi Sushi was nothing short of spectacular. The delicious salmon pancake, the exceptional service, and the delightful company of Neo made it an unforgettable experience. Sushi Sushi continues to be a go-to place for sushi lovers, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Sushi Sushi has it all – incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere that embraces diversity and inclusivity, just as Neo would...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at [sushi sushi], and I was absolutely blown away by the food, the service, and the atmosphere. But what really made my experience special was the amazing service I received from Neo, a transgender boy who works there.

Neo was so friendly and attentive, and he went above and beyond to make sure that I had a great experience. He made helpful recommendations for my meal, and he was always there to refill my drink or answer any questions I had.

But what really impressed me about Neo was his genuine kindness and compassion. He made me feel welcome and respected, and he took the time to get to know me as a customer. I could tell that he was passionate about his job and about providing his customers with the best possible experience.

I highly recommend [sushi suhi] to anyone looking for a delicious meal and excellent service. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Neo, you're in for a real treat.

Here are some specific examples of how Neo went above and beyond to make my experience special:

When he saw that I was having trouble deciding what to order, he took the time to explain the different dishes on the menu and help me choose something that I would like. He noticed that I was enjoying my drink, so he kept refilling it without me having to ask. When he found out that I was celebrating my birthday, he brought me a complimentary dessert and sang "Happy Birthday" to me. He took the time to get to know me as a customer and chat with me about my day. Neo is an amazing employee, and he deserves to be recognized for his hard work and dedication. I hope that [sushi sushi] appreciates the value that he brings...

Hi Sushi & Dumplings shop 1192a Westfield Shopping Centre Yarra St entrance near Coles Takeaway order Their sushi look great but I actually ordered the seafood yakisoba - should have ordered the chicken. The flavours are different to what I'm used to and I believe the seafood one would probably be better eaten in the restaurant. I also bought their chicken spring roll which is the biggest spring roll I have ever seen. Unfortunately it all I could taste was been sprouts. Its saving grace - made on the premises but because it had just come out of the kitchen it was still extremely oily. I also ordered their pork spring roll and again could not taste the pork and a chicken satay. The chicken skewer was dipped in satay sauce and placed into a small paper bag so by the time I got it to the appartment I was staying at, the chicken had started drying out and the satay sauce was on the bag. This is a family owned business because I was served by a young lad who was making dumplings between customers. Unfortunately when I asked him to tell me about the yakisoba he asked his brother who then showed me the photo (already saw the photo on the wall) and handed me a printed menu. For this business to do well it is either going to have to improve its customer service or rely on very very good food. Must admit, its dumplings are popular with passerbys and so is their sushi. Will try them again when I visit Geelong again in 12 months to compare...
