Thousand Pound — Restaurant in Victoria

The food was just edible we barely ate any not an enjoyable experience.The entree chargrilled octopus was reheated and tough. Mains gnocchi the texture of marshmallow soaked in oil and cold. Fish chargrilled sitting in a liquid with a large piece of triangled chard cabbage on the side One of the 3.Sides was not available being snow peas so wasn’t replaced leaving us with crinkle chips you would get in in a pub and a cold salad…This place is suppose to be a fine dining restaurant , it looks the part but food is below pub food standard .The service was good , the ambiance was good the wine list good the food was disgusting. Thanks to the chef for the great food which deserves 5 stars. I had the risotto and it was gorgeous. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere too. Unfortunately I'm gonna give 3 stars because of the service. I felt not welcomed at all by the waiter who was taking care of us. I found him very toffee-nosed and when my friend asked him if there was any dairy free dishes, it was evident from is attitude that he was annoyed by the request. Not sure what the situation is. But website states 4pm open time and apparently they don't open at 4pm.

Must be flexible working hours in hospitality now days. Just a business with a total disregard to customers time and effort to make plans to dine at their restaurant.

How the industry and it's standards have fallen.

Happy to discuss. Well I emailed at 4:53pm on Friday. Came past at twice after 4pm, last attempt was 4:40ish. Your doors were locked, the tables were only just placed outside, lights were off.
