When we walked in we were greeted very quickly, upon sitting we got service within ten minutes. The menu has a variety of options but some are a little to similar.
The starters are incredibly expensive and we're a little lacking. The main meals were decent prices although the drinks were also expensive.
The mains tasted very nice but they only served 2 gf desserts and they looked to be store bought.
Overall everything was good but could be great. Would go again.
Second review - I went here to have dinner with a friend and the second time round the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly.
The parking is great and the atmosphere is still lovely. My only two problems were the portion sizes were to much and getting a waiters attention was difficult.
Third review- I came back for a final time to check out Giuseppe's and I can confidently say I won't be back.
When we first arrived we were seated quickly and ordered quickly.
We ordered arancini, flag of Italy with gnocchi and the seafood pasta. The starter came out quickly and was quite delicious.
Unfortunately when the mains came out it was a different story. The gnocchi was chewy and almost like glue, it was very unpleasant with a total of 3 pieces of chicken and 5 or six pieces of sun dried tomato.
When we wanted to get the bill we had to go to the counter and ask for it. Seriously...
Read moreHave been going to Giuseppe's for years and the food and service is always excellent! We are usually there on a weekend and this time our visit was mid week and unfortunately didn't live up to our expectations.
The Flag of Italy woth gnocchi was to die for! The sauce was delicious and the gnocchi was light and fluffy. Unfortunately the Boscaiola was lacking. The sauce tasted bland and heated up from a jar rather than freshly made.
The service was most disappointing. After waiting to be seated, outside in the rain, as the sign advises for 15 minutes, we proceeded to wait inside with the people who were coming and going with takeaway. Only then did someone approach us to seat us at our reserved table. The wait staff were all very young and seemed to lack the basic knowledge and skills of service, not providing table water or clearing finished plates/glassware when bringing out the next course or fresh drink. We made multiple attempts to get the wait staff attention to pay the bill before walking up to the take away counter to settle and being meet with a blank face on how to settle our table number.
This could easily be taken as one bad day of service in multiple visits or could be that management need to train their staff further.
However, we will return in the future as we have had excellent experiences...
Read moreCame for dinner tonight. The host was lovely and showed us to our table. Service to start was good, offering drinks etc. We ordered but they were "Out of the cocktails" which was unfortunate but I understand menu changes aren't always perfect.
From here our service fell off. Garlic bread hit the table before plates. Then a server dropped off a stack of share plates on the end of the table and turned around without saying a word. Coming from a hospo background, setting guests is the literal bare minimum. Saw this happen to another table who looked just as confused as we felt. Garlic bread was small and had a bitter finish. Tasted like a frozen home brand.
Mains came eventually, but empty entree plates were left on the table, despite us having had to stack them in front of the server to make room for her to set the food down. Water was left unfilled for the remainder of our stay. No offer of more drinks, desserts or even a check back. Mind you there was easily a staff member per four tables as it was not busy.
Food was tasty and portions were good no complaints on that front but there is a serious room for improvement here. Charging $30+ for simple pasta you would hope to get the basics right. Hopefully with some retraining this place...
