I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at a restaurant that left much to be desired. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance felt lackluster, and it only went downhill from there.
Upon being seated, I noticed that the table was sticky and hadn't been properly cleaned. It's astonishing how a basic aspect of maintaining a restaurant could be overlooked. The menus were worn-out and stained, giving off an unappetizing impression before even ordering.
The service was abysmal. It took an eternity for a server to acknowledge our presence, and even longer to take our orders. The lack of attentiveness was clear throughout the meal, as our drinks remained empty and requests for condiments were forgotten.
When the food finally arrived, it was a true letdown. The presentation was uninspiring, and it seemed as if no effort had been put into arranging the dishes. The appetizer was supposed to be a highlight, but it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for far too long. The main courses were equally disappointing – overcooked, bland, and lacking the flavors promised on the menu.
Perhaps the most shocking aspect was the complete disregard for dietary restrictions. Despite clearly mentioning a food allergy when ordering, one of the dishes arrived with the allergen present. This not only ruined the meal but also put my health at risk.
The prices were unjustifiably high for the quality of food and service received. It's baffling that the establishment has the audacity to charge such prices for what can only be described as a subpar dining experience. The bill was a final insult after enduring a night of disappointment.
The restroom was no exception to the overall lack of cleanliness. It was in dire need of attention, with dirty sinks and a complete absence of hand soap. This negligence further emphasized the establishment's disregard for basic hygiene and customer comfort.
In summary, my visit to this restaurant was a complete disaster. From the unclean environment to the careless service and lackluster food, there was hardly a single aspect that met even the most basic expectations. It's disheartening to see such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining here to reconsider and explore better dining options in the area. This restaurant is a prime example of how not to run a dining...

Read moreMy Husband and I have been to Bawarchi many times; we were there just last night again. Each time we have never been disappointed and each time try at least one different dish from their extensive menu. Don't be "put-off" by the simple and plain decor because what comes out of the kitchen is the best and its very reasonably priced and plentiful. Ali, your chief chef, and his wife, Sakina conjure up real authentic(and different for Perth) Indian continent dishes. Honi(as in honey) is your very friendly and helpful host; he will explain any of the surprise ingredients in the some of the dishes if you are not familiar(I thought I knew most ingredients).
As I said, Bawarchi have an extensive menu but a must is to try any of the 4 Dum Biryani choices(we like the vegetarian one), their Lamb Haleem "signature" curry Dish, Daal Bukhara curry, Methi Mattar Mushroom curry. I could go on and on but whatever you order don't forget to order any of the Naan(we like the garlic one) to wipe up every last drop of curry/gravy and a Mango Lassi(for the same price of a coffee these days).
Thanks to the Bawarchi team for another wonderful meal; see you soon again ... ...
