It’s my first time the Donburi was served separately from rice and chicken cullet. The restaurant is Fusion so no offense but it is very far from authentic. I am Japanese it’s very strange. I can’t call that Donburi. Furthermore there’s rice seasoning on the rice. Normally it is supposed to be just plain rice for Donburi. The Chiken Katsu shouldn’t put Mayo and dried bonito. It is like Okonomiyaki rather than chiken katsu. It should be only brown sauce. It tasted strange as they put too many seasoning and shades into one dish. I feel they mixed few dishes into one dish to make it fancy. Even it’s fusion I am disappointed.

Fake Japanese food. A disaster of a food in any standard. Absolutely unpalatable, very salty. A small bowl of soup is charged for $6, so salty like drinking sea water. When ordering, the maid didn't listen to custmer well. she missed ordering and when I asking the waiter they tell me that the kitchen is rested can not make food any more. The desserts should have been in the cabinet for a long time, the skin of the cheesecake have dried up. We came at noon for launch, and it feels like the cheesecake has been in the cabinet for at least a day or two. Very bad experience, very difficult to eat.

We were craving sushi and stumbled upon this cozy spot and it did not disappoint! The sushi was fresh and tasty, and they had a great selection of drinks too. We tried the plum and peach wine (more like a liquor), and absolutely loved it. The tofu was cooked perfectly, and the edamame was warm and salted just right — simple dishes done really well. Highly recommend if you’re in Albany and in the mood for Japanese food. We’ll definitely be back!

I have had a few recommendations to go to this place, so finally decided to try it when I visited. I was really disappointed unfortunately. I really liked that you could order and pay online. The atmosphere and decor inside was awesome! However, the food… albeit it looks good - did not taste nice at all. I had to eat toast after the meal to refresh my palate. I eat different cultural cuisines and have had Japanese food many times before - so I am not new to different foods. For example - Instant miso soup from the grocery store tastes much better than the miso soup at this location. I could not have more than a few mouthfuls of the soup. I do wish I could speak more highly of the food and I’m sorry, but this is the reality of my experience.

I believe one of my dishes was also mixed up and I got two of the same thing instead. The staff seemed a little unsure of my order and I had to wait additional 15-20 minutes even though I ordered takeaway online in advance. I did appreciate getting free mochi with my order! However, I will not be visiting again. I was disappointed as I bought the meal hoping it would be a lovely treat for my family. I spent $120 which was such a...

The food here is excellent — the sushi is always fresh and beautifully made, and most of the staff are friendly and attentive. We’ve really enjoyed coming here, and it’s one of our favorite local spots.

However, there is one male server who consistently makes the experience uncomfortable. He often seems like he’s in a bad mood, and he regularly gets our order wrong. On one visit, we ordered katsu, but since the kitchen was out, he decided on his own to replace it with teriyaki — without asking us. We actually saw him make that choice himself, and it felt dismissive and unprofessional.

It’s disappointing, because the restaurant itself is wonderful. If this issue with service were addressed, this place would easily be a...

Eating like Kings is entirely within the realm of possibility when you come here. The food arrives at your table as quickly as the chef has prepared it and the staff can deliver it to your table.

We had several side dishes and dined on Chicken Karaage, Miso Soup, Pork Dumplings, Octopus Balls and Japanese Pancake.

The restaurant is licensed and has a good selection of alcoholic beverages with ample non-alcoholic options including a selection of tea.

The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, wooden flooring, furniture and cutlery. The crockery is interesting, adding to the sense of occasion.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help. Booking is a really good idea! They do offer takeaway if that suits.

Highly...
