On the upside, this cafe has the best mango smoothie in Broome. The coffee is pretty good too. On the downside, and the reason why I deducted two stars, is that they don’t stand by their advertised opening hours which is pretty unprofessional. Supposed to be open until 3pm but will close anytime they feel it is ‘quiet’. This is an arbitrary closing time and varies greatly. Four times within the last ten days we’ve been disappointed with an early closure and turned away. Today they had closed their kitchen well before 2pm with outside tables and chairs already packed up! One whole hour before their advertised closing time. If they don’t stick to solid opening hours, then they create a self fulfilling prophecy of being ‘quiet’ in the afternoons as people know they can’t trust them to offer a product when they say they will. These guys have great potential - if they want to knock off early, then they just need to change their closing time officially to 2pm, so they won’t continue to disappoint well intentioned diners. We’ll be heading over to Green Mango instead who say they are open.... and actually are, for an...

Even as we're still seated here at table 47 finishing breakfast, I felt compelled to leave a review. It's that good. We ate at Green Mango yesterday and while that was pretty good, it simply doesn't compare to Dragonfly. The service is on point. Counter staff happily took our order with some dietary changes and then wait staff politely announced each item as they served it, including the requested changes. The iced mocha is better than any I've had in Melbourne; striking the perfect balance between espresso and chocolate. The mango smoothie simply tastes like delicious mango, as you'd expect.

The Spanish beans were sensational. Poached eggs cooked to perfection. My partner's popcorn fritters were a welcomed twist on what we expected, coming out as 4 round pieces and presently simply beautifully on quality crockery.

The food was a good portion size for the price paid too, and I'll be walking away full. Can't say the same for the guys next door.

As another reviewer wrote, don't bother going...

After waiting more than 40 minutes we got finally our food. By the time we had already finished our drinks!! Food was disappointing in terms of size please look at the picture i took. For almost 30 dollars you get 2 pieces of 1 wide and 15 cm long fish!!!!? If this is not scam what is it than?

Not the mention if you complain about the long waiting time they simply show you the sign( which they made) saying "25 minutes waiting for food" no excuse or apologies are made. Apparently if you right something down than it makes it ok!!? Next i am bringing my sign which is saying "I don't pay unless i am satisfied! "🙂 After we finished our lunch i wanted to use the restrooms but it wasnt straight forward either they had restrooms situated somewhere in the street behind the restaurant whic you need a key for. And apparently there is one key and only one restroom for everybody!!? Yeah that is very convenient too. Well done.

In short. Expensive(for what you get) ,unfriendly, unfair, and...

So delicious, we actually went twice in two days. On the first visit we had the "eat pray love" green bowl (yes the name is cringe but that was freaking delicious, 500% recommend) and the salmon smash (also delicious, very generous on salmon). On the second visit we had the salmon Benny and the brekky burger. Great too. A little disappointed about the passionfruit cheesecake. It wasn't bad but on the level as the other dishes (texture a little of and lacking a bit of taste). But overall it's a 5 stars. If you are craving good, satisfying yet healthy food, try the bowl! Dam that thing was good. Oh also coffees were fine!

You have to try the mango smoothies from Dragonfly, the Weiss is my favourite as it has coconut yoghurt and almond milk so you can taste the intense mango flavour. The brekkie wrap is perfect if you're on the go, it has egg but beautiful fresh tomato and spinach. If you have time to sit down and eat, there is plenty to choose from and all is delicious. We had the eggs benny and goodness bowl which when eaten with the mango smoothies had us full for hours. During peak season, you will wait 30 mins + for a meal but when on holiday, it isn't a big deal! During wet season, service is very quick
