Firstly the mango smoothies here are AMAZING! And the banana bread was nice too! This is what gets this place 2 stars
Unfortunately we had dinner there tonight - ordered the mango and avocado salad with the dressing on the side (due to a health condition) and fish and chips with tomato sauce and no aioli (due to an allergy) and the lady at the counter repeated this back to us. The salad came out with dressing and the mango was half frozen - it was so horrible we didn't finish it. The fish wasn't very nice either (Cable Beach General Store does a much better one for $17), chips were soft and had no seasoning, and I was given aioli so had to ask for tomato sauce again. I could possibly understand the error if it was busy, but we were one of maybe four tables eating. We gave this feedback to the lady at the end after paying over $45 and she offered us another mango salad when we were clearly put off. We weren't offered a refund on that meal. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back here for a meal based on this experience - very expensive and very...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Green Mango Cafe, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The first thing that caught my attention was the warm and inviting atmosphere of the cafe, which instantly made me feel welcomed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and promptly seated by a friendly staff member. Throughout my meal, the service was attentive and personalized, making me feel like a valued guest. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
Now, let's talk about the food – simply put, it was outstanding. Every dish that I tried was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly loved their signature vegan breakfast and mango smoothie, which was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
I will definitely be returning to Green Mango Cafe in the...
Read moreLove the relaxed vibe of the place and nice personnel. Also understand that there’s not much competition, so they can set the prices however they like, but the ratio of quality/price really didn’t meet expectations. For $20 “vegan brekkie” we got a defrosted hash brown the size of chicken nugget, a scoop of avocado, a single vegan sausage (like you can buy in a supermarket), a scoop of “tofu scramble” which still had the packaging marks you get from a store bought one. Plus 2 cherry tomatoes, a “poached” hardboiled miniegg and handful of spinach. Vegan fritters were basically fried bread, also nugget sized, with spinach leaves and 2 tomatoes. Also for $20. A latte was half foam. I’m a budget traveler, usually eat and am happy with almost anything, but this was really disappointing. Nice...
