Eugene's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Western Australia

Pizza was one of the best I had in Australia, though it was average compared to authentic Italian pizza. However, what really made my experience sad was the atmosphere and the owner’s attitude. Atmosphere. The place is mostly filled with well-dressed people who bring wine from home and drink it in the middle of the street. They often aggressively ask anyone sitting at the table when they're leaving so they can take over; an embarrassing repeated scene of the local community revolving around this pizza place. The owner. The owner is a man who acts like a little sad person, an Italian immigrant by his own words, who has probably lost that warm and joyful Italian attitude in favour of trying to fit in with the so-called “New Australians.” He also came up to my table while I was still finishing my meal to ask how long it would take me to finish and leave. Before such a pathetic request, I congratulated him on his pizza and immediately left. The image of this man’s sad face and the greedy faces of his customers will stay with me much longer than the taste of the pizza I had. Maybe this Eugene’s Pizza has some trace of Italian pizza, but the authentic Italian vibes are far...

You will undoubtedly enjoy & savour what ever you order ... BYO red 🍷, white 🥂, bubbles🍾, beer 🍻 (or whatever 🍸🍹🥤🥃) to wash down the gourmet delights ...

Eat inside or outside in the eloquent & historical George Street, Fremantle ...

Tony and his Team will look after you, with a friendly smile, some chit chat and even share a red with you (your shout, of course !).

And, if you still have little room at the end of the evening, maybe top it off with some delightful gelato ... I gourmandised the coconut/mango, my partner, the cookies & cream ...

I have to say, I have never had better pizza in my life. As a daughter of an Italian man who has travelled the world, I didn’t think a pizza shop could impress me. However, the pizzas are out of this world. The pizza base is perfection, the meat delicious, high quality ingredients, the garnishes and toppings are just right. The tomato base was the most delicious base of a pizza I have ever eaten.

Secondly, you could see the love that goes into this food. The staff were concentrating hard to make good food for their guests. I love that they didn’t have pages and pages of options. Just a handful of pizzas which they have crafted to perfection. I will be...
