We tried for over an hour calling their listed mobile number, not answered, goes to message bank.
My daughter drove there, placed our order, and then waited over an hour for the 6 dishes to be made. Meanwhile, all the Uber and DoorDash orders were flying out the door. Seems online orders are their priority.
We got the food, the Butter Chicken had about 50g of thigh meat and the rest was all sauce.
The Tandoori Prawns (listed as king prawns) were small cocktail prawns, there were 10 on a bed of rocket mix.
The Lamb Korma had about 50g of lamb and all sauce.
The Butter Naan were overcooked dry slabs and the Onion Bahji were so spicy they were not pleasant to eat.
The rice was the only edible item of any quantity.
$105 for less than $20 of rubbish food.
Garbage Curry. Don't waste your money or waiting time.
Bring Back Yogi's Indian to Mandurah or drive to Secret Harbour to get Yogi's there.
Won't be going back.
Not even worth one star.
ICP*In reply to your comments after posting my review, I would be nice (nyc) if there were positives to our experience, but there were none.
We used to enjoy your food, but it is definitely our least favourite now after this experience. It was overpriced for substandard service and food.
Reading a lot of the newest reviews our experience is no different to others.
You need to work on your service, phone and in-house ordering, your portion sizes, quality, and price.
You may have had great reviews years ago but currently, you are not up to the old standard you once had.
As for taking a photo after 90% eaten, no, we had tried to share what little meat and seafood there was, then thought to photograph it. Your dishes are all sauce, with very little "quality" meat or seafood in them.
5 stars require five star service and five star produce and yours tonight was not even one star.
Forget lengthy replies, try apologising and work on what your customers point out and you might not get so many bad reviews.
A good review takes seconds to write, a bad one is where you make improvements from.
Oh I have added screenshots of all the unanswered calls that you claimed to call the customers back on. 8 calls from me, my wife called twice, my daughter called twice, so she drive there and waited over an hour as we could not place an...
Read moreI am Indian by birth. I know my Indian cuisine. It's in my genes. Was visiting Mandurah. Chose this place, knowing fully well that this may not be perfect, but maybe honourably acceptable. Perhaps fall short here and there. But I was shocked as to how BAD this was. I think all the food is store-bought, heated and sold on. The naan bread was certainly not cooked in house - anyone can buy it in a supermarket for less than $2 for a multi pack. It's not fair that these guys can take top dollar for food which is not 'kosher Indian', if you know what I mean. It angers me that they think they can get away with it. I consider it my duty to forewarn others. Beware. I never use such strong words. But they have really upset me. I will never return. ...................................................................... This is in continuation to my review after reading your response. First of all I didn't ask for a discount. Also, I didn't eat in (I stated that at outset - at least read the review properly), or come in with a woman. I paid for all my food and left with my takeaway. I can see that you have now got repeated bad reviews from various customers. Instead of accepting your deficiencies and improving, you have the audacity to tell your customers that they are wrong, or imply that they want a discount. The problem here is not the customer, it's your gaslighting attitude. All the best mate, because with this attitude you won't have any customers left. Carry on - continue to bury your head in the sand. ,...................... Further response: I have no intention of negatively affecting anyone's business - I am merely stating my experience. I see that you attack reviews that you don't like, and that you insinuate all matter of things - such as I wanted a discount, I dined in etc, when these are all incorrect. I don't see an apology for that here. Also, I noticed how suddenly after my negative reviews regarding your naans, a new review has popped up stating that the naans are brilliant. Do you really think that readers won't see through...
Read moreBooked a table for last Friday evening. We were travelling from Perth to have dinner with family. Received a call in the early afternoon from the restuarant Manager explaining that the air conditioning had failed and that she wanted to let us know in advance. The Manager offered the option of being seated outside if we arrived and found inside seating to be too warm. Really appreciated that degree of service.
Upon arrival, the restuarant was comfortable, the service was attentive and friendly and the staff are very good at anticipating customers needs. The manager has a sharp sense of humour and is a great conversationalist.
The food was very good as well, our dishes were without fault in taste, temperature and serving size. BYO is a great selling point as well.
As other reviews have highlighted, the restuarant is quite small with simple decor but the staff and food are fantastic. I would definately recommend experiencing the food and service...
