Attended for a late breakfast on the morning of Sunday March 30. Ended up receiving our food at lunch. After two people from our table going in to check up we were given 1/5 meals and were told the food was coming out. After playing the respectful waiting game, some time had passed and with our 1 year old now getting very unsettled and hungry, I raced in to see what the issue was (at this point we had waited over an hour for food to come out.) When standing in line - i shit you not - someone ordering food was given our same table number. Bewildered, I looked around and saw slow paced staff making drinks and running food, one plate at a time. The pass was full of plates ready to go. There seemed to be zero sense of urgency. I asked where our food was and the till staff showed me our docket which was seperate from the rest on the pass and said it was coming out. After another few minutes our last 4 meals were brought out by 3 staff. No apology whatsoever. Our food must have been sitting there for god knows how long, plates and bowls far too hot to the touch especially for my 1 year old. Complete lack of awareness and a true wonder what the hell this establishment is doing. Fumbling service at less than 60% capacity is not a good look and a complete waste of our morning. Props to the kitchen staff who were smiles all round and made some good food. Perplexed by whatever the hell front of house were doing that morning because they certainly weren't operating a cafe. Read moreBooked a table for 4, 3 days prior as we had a family member coming down from Perth. Almost cancelled due to the awful weather but thought we should do the right thing and not let the restaurant down. We bundled up the baby and toddler and went down to have our breakfast, when we arrived we were asked if we had a booking to which I advised we did. The waitress (very rude) did not even check the booking system before telling us we didn't have a booking, despite having 2 confirmation emails and a reminder email. I was then asked if I booked online (which I did through their own website). When I advised I did, I was told that is too bad and I should have called to book as the Manager regularly accepts the bookings on her phone and doesn't advise the staff about them. The owner was visibly working in the kitchen and no effort was made to talk to her. The waitress didn't even try to find us a table, and when we asked if we could sit at the plant based cafe owned by the same company we were told that if we did we would only be able to order from the plant based menu (we are keto, so there will literally be nothing we could eat). We were flabbergasted by this as you can order from the plant based menu whilst at the regular cafe. This is literally blatant descrimination! We were ultimately told to go elsewhere and there was nothing they could do. It was a miserable and disappointing experience and I will not be returning nor recommending this place.to anyone. Read moreMy parents travel every weekend from the further northern suburbs of Perth every weekend to catch up with myself and grandchild. We thought we’d try somewhere new given the good reviews on the food here.
My food (green pancakes) were good but my parents food... rock salt is not a garnish... my parents had to scrape their food they said the only good thing was the coffee.
The food was not my concern... The customer service was poor, I work customer service and I can understand it gets busy but we were not greeted on arrival from two staff that walked past us to clear tables. In my opinion if you are busy you should let the customers know you will be with them shortly, some form of acknowledgment but we received nothing. We had a booking that I had to chase up about. The table hadn’t been wiped the floor was a mess and there was a high chair left between our table and another that no one was using and clearly didn’t belong there (it was in the way for both our table and the one next to. I got up and put it back where the other high chairs were clearly kept.
Keep in mind this is our first time here, We weren’t given any menus were not even told where they were kept until I had looked around from the table to see where they were and get them myself. Getting them myself wasn’t the issue it was not being told anything and feeling lost and working out everything ourselves.
