We tried this place as we saw it in the entertainment book. First off, the promotion was a main course offer (2 for 1). We ordered three items in the $28+ range and one $19, they chose to take off the cheapest item, a bit unexpected considering we ordered a lot for 2 people. Service was good and portion size was reasonable as we had plenty for the two of us. The food was ok, we ordered 4 dishes and enjoyed one, the other 3 I personally did not like as I found them bland and the texture was not the most pleasant. However, we noticed that all the dishes we ordered did not match the components on the menu at all. Apart from the protein listed on the menu, every other component was different (e.g. listed pickled pair and received bean sprouts, tomato relish and received beetroot etc.). I checked my partner's menu as I thought I might have gotten an older version but his was the same. This is misleading as people can only order food based off what the menu describes, not what you feel like doing that day. Additionally, this is dangerous, and the lack of transparency and honesty can be detrimental for people with certain allergies. If eating here, I would double check what is going in the dish before...

They have a great range of vegan options on their menu, including this incredible gnocchi dish. The gnocchi are pan fried and have a delicious crunchy crust on the outside, and are soft and pillowy in the middle (chewy gnocchi is a pet peeve of mine!!). Served with an amazing pumpkin and chestnut puree, crispy sage, sweet roasted onion and vegan parmesan - both my partner and I rated this as the best gnocchi we’ve ever had! 👏🏻 We also tried their roasted carrot dish which was also delicious and had a nice spicy kick to it. They even have a vegan dessert on their menu, which is an Orange and Lavender Cheesecake. The cashew and coconut based cheesecake was rich and creamy, with a citrus flavour and just a hint of lavender. It was also served with a scoop of blood orange sorbet, which was a great fresh contrast to the rich cheesecake. Overall I could not fault any of these dishes 👏🏻 The drinks menu is also impressive, with a long list of unique cocktails (pictured is the “Thyme 4 a...

Good service, but poor food.

I had the Kangaroo Steak Tartare which was a very odd combinations of flavours including apple and pepper and failed to include the iconic raw egg yolk one expects in a tartare. The accompanying mini toast was extremely dry and took over the whole dish. Not recommended.

My partner is a vegetarian and there were literally no main meal options available despite an otherwise reasonably varied menu. She opted for the Pan Fried Gnocchi and requested the braised beef on the side (for me!). The white sauce was nothing to get excited about and had an overpowering tanginess from too much seeded mustard. The redeeming feature was the gnocchi itself, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way pan fried gnocchi should be.

The wine was very overpriced albeit with a good selection to choose from. Decent service from our waitress made things a little better but I doubt we'll...

Wife and I got a small window of opportunity to go out for a quick meal. We decided of the THe Cabin, which we hadn’t been to for a while, and we have had good experiences in the past. The ambience of the place is nice, a bit random decor, have always thought so! Their was also a must smell in the air, Not sure what it was but we both noticed it. I forgot to take the shot of the menu, but prices are on the higher side for shareplates. We chose the scallops With pumpkin purée, for me the star dish. Meatballs which were good, but a little plain for our liking. Arancini balls which were pretty standard, nothing different to what we’ve eaten elsewhere. Unfortunately the worst was the Bao buns! The buns were very dry and hard and the filling just didn’t work for us! We still had a nice night but may think twice on coming back any time soon. I do like having a few drinks with friends on the balcony in summer...

We had the most amazing food tonight, celebrating our 8 year anniversary. The food was so delectable, moreish and presented perfectly. The vegan gnocchi was pillowy soft and with a velvety smoothe, subtle pumpkin chestnut sauce which didn't over power the gnocchi. The charred carrot dish was picture perfect and was bursting with flavour, one of my favs. Their brussel sprout and cauliflower cheese was simple but effective in delivering a burst of delectable goodness with every bite. The vegan cheesecake dessert and sorbet was to die for, with hints of citrus/blood orange and every flavour complimented each other, it was very well balanced. The staff/owner were very friendly and welcoming, and the view was amazing. A really enjoyable night, I would definitely recommend this place, especially to vegans looking for an affordable, high quality culinary experience.
