Australian Hotel Young — Restaurant in Young

After a long 5 hour drive and tireless cherry picking, we were looking for a nice place to dine at and my mum chose this place out of every other. It was nothing exceptional but of expected bistro standard food. Service was good enough and the staff seemed friendly, though we didnt really need help since we ordered through our phones.

I had the deluxe chicken schnitzel with chips, and the rest of us had some variety of steaks and chicken with similar sides. I would have had salad too but there was no option to add additional notes for the order, in which i’d have no dressing on it. Regardless, the food was quite alright, the chips were good, though the schnitzel was very weird. There was something about it that was kind of off putting but i ate it anyways because of how tired i was. It taste different to a usual schnitzel you would order anywhere else and it was also very bland. It was surprising to see no parmi dish here too, such a simple addition would make it all the more worthwhile. The rest of the meals were not too bad, but again, it wasnt anything exceptional. It was priced as any other bistro would be priced as well.

A decent spot, though if i ever do come past Young again, i’d rather try a different restaurant to fancy...

Down on business in Young for the day. I got stuck here waiting g to do an installation for 1 of my customers. This is obviously the place to come for dinner. I. glad I did. Really nice boutique style pub offering traditional pub grub at pub grub pricing. It was a Wednesday night and being particularly hungry I decided to have a cheese burger with chips and also the had $2 wing night. And being the piggy I am I ordered 5. Buffalo wings were awsome. Then the burger came. Nice fresh bun with great burger patty and fresh salad with chips.all very tasty followed by a glass of alcoholic ginger beer. This place has a nice feel about it. Obviously all the locals come here I sat next to a table of u think about 12 possibly farmers having a meal and a drink. This pub reminded me of why I love coming to the country. I believe all $$ goes towards pub/restaurant and none towards accommodation. The pub is very nice with helpful staff and the food while not the highest quality the portions were generous and was out quick. The accommodation side not so great rooms are as standard at most pubs, but the shared bathrooms are not really acceptable, the handle for the door was broken and trapped myself inside when I shut the door which I had to do as the shower had glass petitions so anyone using the toilets would be able to see everything, and the taps were broken to point I had to pick them up off floor to turn it on. As quick as I was trying to be the hot water ran out in under 5 minutes so I feel sorry for any groups that want to shower one after other as only first person would get a...
