I recently tried the Chicken Biryani from Namaste Nepal, and I have to say, it was not a bad experience. It cost me around 15 Euros, which I found to be quite reasonable considering the average cost around other places and the portion size. In fact, a single biryani was enough to satisfy both myself and my dining companion, depending on our appetite.

What I really liked about Namaste Nepal is its convenient location. It's just a short walk from the Tram line near the University of Arts, making it easily accessible, especially for those who rely on public transportation like myself.

When it comes to the taste, the Chicken Biryani at Namaste Nepal definitely had a North Indian flair rather than the South Indian style I'm more accustomed to. The blend of spices and flavors was distinct and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the well-balanced proportion of chicken and rice in the dish. It made each bite flavorful and satisfying.

If you're planning to dine in at Namaste Nepal, I highly recommend reserving a seat in advance. This way, you can secure a spot and avoid any potential waiting times. It's always great to have a guaranteed spot, especially if the restaurant tends to be popular or crowded.

One more thing worth mentioning is that Namaste Nepal accepts card payments, which is convenient for people like me who prefer using cards instead of cash.

All in all, I would definitely try the Chicken Biryani from Namaste Nepal again. The reasonable price, generous portion size, North Indian flavors, and well-balanced chicken-to-rice ratio all combine to create a memorable dining experience. Sehr, sehr freundlicher Service! Einfach eingerichtet aber zweckmäßig. Weil alles so freundlich war, tue ich mich schwer, negativ über das Essen zu schreiben, aber leider hat es uns nicht überzeugt. Es war ganz ordentlich, aber geschmacklich leider sehr eindimensional. Es fehlten die typischen wunderbaren Gewürze, die indisches Essen so ausmachen, sie waren sicherlich vorhanden, aber gingen im Einheitsgeschmack unter. Mein Lieblingsessen Malai Kofta habe ich schon sehr, sehr oft sehr viel besser gegessen. Die Gemüsebällchen an sich waren etwas langweilig und auch die Sauce entbehrte die eigentlich so typische geschmackliche Varianz. Von Mandeln habe ich nichts wahrgenommen, außer in der Dekoration. Etwas interessanter war das Royal Panir. Das Naan war die größte Enttäuschung. Es schmeckte eher wie ein Kuchenteig und lag mir später schwer im Magen. So andersartig habe ich es noch nie gegessen, schon optisch fiel es völlig aus der Reihe zu den Naan, die ich bislang kennengelernt habe. Es hatte einen gelblichen, flachen Teig, war rund wie ein Kuchen, nicht länglich wie sonst meistens. Es fehlten die so typischen Blasen und die sonst wunderbare Konsistenz, die entfernt an neapolitanische Pizza erinnert. Der Basmatireis war ein wenig enttäuschend, der Kardamon, den man sonst darin findet (mit seinem herrlichen Duft!) entpuppte sich hier als Erbsen, die m.E. den Reis etwas matschig machten. Beim Raita fehlte der Minzgeschmack, leider auch sonst etwas langweilig. Gut waren die Vorspeisen, der Mix-Teller mit Samosa usw., nur leider kamen diese erst nach 40 Minuten langen Wartens. Die Papadams kamen leider nicht wie von uns bestellt als erstes vorneweg, sondern auch erst nach 40 Minuten mit den Vorspeisen zusammen. Schade! Die Mixed Pickles waren ein Highlight, das Mango Chutney gut. Der Mango Lassi war etwas dünn. Für das Essen würde ich eigentlich maximal 3 Sterne geben, aber die Freundlichkeit hat den 4. Stern gebracht. Nachsatz: Nach indischem Essen fühle ich mich immer sehr wohl, es ist geradezu als Heilmittel einzusetzen, durch die wunderbaren heiltätigen Gewürze. Nach diesem Essen fehlte mir das allerdings, es lag mir lange schwer im Magen. Vielleicht war es...

I was craving for some biriyani and there was ‘Namaste Nepal’ to the rescue. The place looks quite decent and serves excellent food. There was a lovely lady with a beautiful smile at the counter :)

I visited the place on a Monday afternoon, hence it wasn’t packed. I ordered a chicken biriyani takeaway for € 15,70. The wait time was 20 mins.

I must say the food was quite tasty and the portion was big enough to fit my two meals. Definitely...
