Honestly speaking I can say the Salmon Carbonara I had was the best pasta I’ve ever eaten.
I am a tourist in Innsbruck coming from London. We walked past this restaurant and thought it looked cool.
On arrival a staff member politely explained the process. You are given a card and it is self service. You read the menu, go to the counter you want (pasta pizza salad etc), and then the food is made fresh in front of you. For items that take longer to cook you are given a buzzer. They scan your card to keep track of what you ordered. Then at the end hand back your card to pay the bill.
I got to see my salmon carbonara made fresh in front of me, I chose linguine pasta for it but there are plenty of other options.
When the restaurant is more busy, I don’t know if the service will be as good. We visited at 5:30 and it was not too busy.
We also had the pizza dough balls starter with Aoili, very tasty.
I wish this existed back in London. Honestly the best meal I’ve had in Innsbruck so far.
Price wise, we paid 15 euro each for our mains and 5 euro for the starter. Considering it’s made fresh, and buying your own ingredients in Innsbruck is not cheap either, I don’t think the price is too much. Also, free tap water.
Thanks Vapiano for a wonderful meal. If you aren’t already in London, please, go there.
Edit - just found out Vapiano are also in London. I will 100% be going there when I...
Read moreHey Vapiano,
I recently visited Vapiano in Innsbruck with a group of friends for dinner, and unfortunately, our experience left a lot to be desired.
We ordered five pizzas, and while the first one arrived quickly, the rest took an unusually long time to be served. We ended up waiting for almost an hour for everyone to get their food, which was especially frustrating because we couldn't enjoy our meal together. One pizza was also mistakenly made with gluten-containing dough instead of gluten-free, which caused further delays when it had to be remade.
We raised our concerns about the delays, and the staff mentioned that they had "lost the ticket," which resulted in another 10-minute wait. Some of the pizzas that did arrive were unfortunately cold, adding to the overall disappointment.
While the staff was friendly, we were never approached by a manager or a waiter to check in on us during the meal, which would have been appreciated given the issues we faced. Overall, this was not the dining experience we had hoped for. We understand that things can go wrong, but better communication and attention to detail would have gone a long way.
I hope Vapiano takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements, perhaps offering some form of compensation for the inconvenience we experienced.

Read moreWorst dining experience I’ve ever had. It’s supposed to be an Italian restaurant, but I’ve been living in Italy for almost 20 years now, and I was very disappointed about the menu (carbonara with onions???), and the meals unfortunately weren’t tasty as well. I had chicken Alfredo (which for some reason the cook pronounced “chicken à la Fredo”), but I didn’t manage to finish the plate: the chicken didn’t taste like chicken, and the pasta had no taste at all. My partner wanted a gluten free pizza, but the gluten free dough was finished, and there wasn’t anything else tasty on the menu so she didn’t eat anything (we had to go to another restaurant afterwards). I would like to rate the service as well, but there was no service. You order your meals directly at the counter where the cooks prepare the food in front of you, but you have to basically fight with the other customers if you want to order, as everyone tries to cut the line. At the end it took us 20 minutes just to place the order. Only positive thing I can say about this place is that the prices are low compared to other restaurants in Innsbruck. But considering that they don’t have to pay a lot of waiters, it’s the least...
