My Asian partner and I had a highly disappointing experience at this hotel, which we suspect was due to racist and/or ethnically motivated reasons.

Upon checking in around 7 PM—much later than when rooms should be ready—we were told that our room was not available. Instead, we were "upgraded" to a supposedly better room. However, in this "upgraded" room, the AC was broken. One of the staff later confirmed that ours was the only room with such an issue that day, and despite the 30°C heat and the very small window facing a loud train station, no solution at all was offered.

When we reported the issue, we were informed the hotel was fully booked, meaning no room change was possible, no repairs could be made, and no refund could be given so we could go to another hotel. Not even a fan could be provided! We had no choice but to spend the night in an unbearably hot mini-room for which we had paid 170 EUR.

What makes this situation particularly upsetting is the sequence of events. It seems we were originally assigned a cheaper room with a working AC, and then we were deliberately placed in a broken room under the guise of an "upgrade." This timeline suggests that the decision may not have been a simple coincidence but something more concerning, especially considering the full capacity of the hotel.

The fact that Austria ranks 1st in the EU rankings for racism makes me further question the reasons for such a sequence of events. We also declined the manager's offer of a voucher we received after a few weeks because we will never stay at a Motel One again.

I highly recommend avoiding this place unless you are a White...

I recently stayed at Motel One in Innsbruck during my recent holidays to Austria and I had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the front office assistant Anna was very humble and gave a me free upgrade to the room which had breath-taking views of the snow-capped mountains, the staff always went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The interior of the hotel is marvelous, I loved the lounge in the reception area. My room had a fantastic view of the Nordkette mountains, which was a real treat. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light and made the room feel spacious. The rooftop bar offered a fantastic atmosphere with stunning panoramic views. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. The bar had a seating set up on the balcony as well, sitting there and sipping their special gin cocktail was an unforgettable experience.

The hotel's proximity to the railway station was very convenient, it is right next to the city railway station, especially for arriving and departing the city. It was also within walking distance of the Old Town and other major attractions.

While the breakfast buffet was good, the lack of dinner service at the rooftop bar was a slight inconvenience. However, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Overall, it was a great experience, I would highly recommend Motel One Innsbruck to anyone looking for a modern, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Innsbruck. The stunning views, excellent service, and convenient location make it a great choice for both leisure and...

Recently stayed here in Aug 2024 and had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, central to Innsbruck station, you can see the hotel from the platform when you get off the train. When you exit the station it is on the far left hand side.

There are plenty of shops nearby to buy amenities like toiletries or food to eat. Inside the station is a small supermarket M-Preis.

The entrance to the hotel has a nice ambience and lighting. Check-in was easy and straight-forward.

Our room was on the 4th floor and omg the view is to die for. I've never ever had a room with such a stunning view overlooking the city and mountains, the windows are floor to ceiling so its incredible. They have little gap doors to open for fresh air.

The beds were comfortable, not much space to walk round in but okay for a short stay - one night. The bathroom was basic and clean. Shower head very big and quite weighty. Water pressure could have done with being a bit stronger. Sink was quite low but these are trivial matters.

The staff let us go to the sky bar lounge to take pictures, the views from the windows/balcony are amazing.

It's a short walk to the old town - say 10-15 mins depending on which route you take and how fast you walk. It didn't take us long at all.

On the day we we were leaving, staff allowed us to leave our luggage in the storage room at no extra cost.

A tad on the pricey side but we enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Thanks for a...

We stayed at Hotel One for three nights and had no regrets. The location is unbeatable—it’s right next to the train station and a bus stop with plenty of routes to get us around. If you’re taking FlixBus, the stop is just a five-minute walk away. Sillpark, the nearest shopping mall, is also just a five-minute walk from the hotel. The service was exceptional. We arrived very early in the morning, around 6 AM, as our sleeper train from Vienna arrived ahead of schedule. Despite not being able to check us in so early due to room availability, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and apologetic. He kept us comfortable by offering coffee and engaging in a friendly chat to get to know us. Once we got to our room, the breathtaking view made every morning a delight. As for downsides, the room lacked a kettle, bedroom slippers, a bathrobe, and even a phone to call reception—perhaps expected given the motel-style setup. However, the positives more than made up for it, with an easy checkout process and a staff always ready to assist with any inquiries. We would highly recommend this place to any guest reading this!
