We are a family of 4 from the USA. We had an excellent experience using the English-language headsets. Our group was 4 and there were 6 who were listening to the German audio in the rooms. It may be that for a larger group they turn the German audio in the rooms up, making it harder to hear the English-language headsets, but in our case we had no problems at all hearing the English on our headsets. The headsets have a volume control, you can turn them up (to a certain maximum of course) using the "up" button at the top of the round controller at the top of the controls (I'm sure the staff can show you if this is confusing; the staff for us was excellent, very helpful and accommodating). I found it helped to turn up the volume from that default setting.
The content itself was excellent. My 10-year-old daughter thought it was just okay, but my 11-year-old daughter who enjoys history loved it as did my wife and I. We learned a lot and feel we understand Tirol much better at this point. Though I wouldn't make a point of going again, for us it was an excellent one-time experience and a highlight of our short time...
Read moreI experienced the VR presentation at the Experience Tirol venue, showcasing the history, social culture, art, and natural beauty of Innsbruck and Tirol. I boarded a biplane to experience the breathtaking Alpine views, with special wind effects; sat in a carriage on the ancient Maria-Theresien-Straße, even smelling the scent of horse manure; traveled back to the Napoleonic Wars era; relived the childhood memories and traditions of Innsbruck girls, watching bonfires on the mountain, knocking on doors with wooden animal heads for candy, and celebrating Christmas with the family under the snow-capped peaks... These were the reasons the girls didn't want to leave. Finally, in the 360° circular room, the projection showed the stunning landscapes of Innsbruck throughout the four seasons, along with cultural scenes of families enjoying outdoor picnics, people hiking, skiing, and ice skating, as well as shepherds and cows walking through...
Read moreIn total it was an interesting immersive experience with a creative way to learn some facts about Tirol. However we felt like the experience could be improved. While the technical production and presentation was nice, it would be great if more time would be taken by the staff to guide the visitors, e.g. explain how to properly put on and adjust the VR goggles and wait until everyone is ready before the movie is started to allow all visitors to properly enjoy the full experience. We were just 4 people in our group, can’t imagine how stressful this is when there is a bigger group. Another point is that, for our personal taste, the information was passed on too quickly sometimes, that you could not finish reading what was presented while concentrating on the visuals at...
