My visit to the restaurant was simply magical! At the beginning of the year, it's very quiet late morning there, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in photography. The architecture of the new rooftop at the Haus des Meeres is brilliant, and the view is absolutely stunning! It feels like being in a castle in the sky—a little vacation oasis in the middle of the city or a relaxing cruise through the clouds above Vienna. The crew of this "floating ship" is very accommodating, polite, friendly and humorous. You can truly feel the family atmosphere within the business. It’s an unexpected joy to take a little break up here. For anyone passionate about culinary arts, architecture and photography, I can only recommend visiting the observation deck and taking a look at the unique menu there. If you visit the observation deck, you should definitely order something at the restaurant. When there are many visitors and guests, consumption is even required to access the deck. However, the prices are very reasonable for such an extraordinary experience! For evenings and weekends, I was advised to make a reservation in advance, as the restaurant places a strong emphasis on high quality. This means it’s rarely overcrowded but probably exclusive, which is very wise IMHO! Anyhow, this is one of my new happy places in Vienna!

Food is great although there is limited options and it is a little bit expensive l, but still very tasty. The drinks are great. The best thing is the view and the atmosphere, it is a very relaxing place to eat and drink. It would have been good to get a table close to the window as it was not busy tonight and we watched many empty tables by the window all night. We tipped 10% as he asked for it, but i would have been more than happy too anyway and even more so if they sat us in one of the many empty window seats. Overall i would highly reccomened and i would deffinetly come back. FYI, the schnitzel is 27 +10% tip and they add on €6 for bread. View in evening is spectacular!

We visited this restaurant and were somewhat disappointed. The view is beautiful, but the area under the tables was dirty. Strangely, there were already glasses on our table when we arrived, which remained there throughout our visit and possibly even after we left. As for the food, I really enjoyed the meat broth. However, I ordered a Caesar salad and was served wilted lettuce without any chicken. It didn’t resemble a proper Caesar salad at all—just a plate of old salad leaves. I was very disappointed, especially since our orders were mixed up, and the staff tried to insist that we had ordered something we hadn’t. This is nowhere near restaurant quality—this is something you’d expect from a cheap café or a fast-food joint, not a place that calls itself a restaurant. A proper Caesar salad should be fresh, well-balanced, and carefully plated, not just a sad pile of wilted lettuce with croutons dumped on top. And where is the chicken that was supposed to be included? This level of presentation and quality is downright embarrassing for a restaurant. If I wanted something that looked thrown together in a rush, I could’ve gone to a random café and paid half the price. We waited a long time for the bill, and on top of that, we didn’t appreciate the forced tipping, especially since we were served by a different waiter. The service was absolutely terrible—honestly, this was the first truly unpleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I’m giving it two stars only for the view and the soup, but overall, a complete disappointment. P.S. The menu clearly stated that the Caesar salad comes with chicken, but they simply didn’t put any in mine.

Horrible service unfortunately was the only lasting impression this rooftop restaurant made. It has a wide view of the city in 360 degrees, and it's quite pretty in the evening - unfortunately this means a lot of wannabe influencers come here to buy the cheapest drink on the menu, take pictures, and leave. This also means the restaurant is 80% empty halfway through dinner. The waitstaff is perpetually confused and stressed and were unable to take our order in the manner we preferred and drinks arrived completely randomly rather than with the intended pairing. We perceived them as quite rude as well, perhaps as a consequence of their total lack of structure. Noise is constantly coming out of the bar area as they're doing dishes as if dinner service is already over. The disappointing service is all the more disappointing seeing as the food itself is actually nice. We had an appetizer of cheese which was neatly arranged and tasty, and the goulash with dumplings was very nice also. Drinks, too, were very nice. This restaurant, with its great view and (apparently) talented kitchen staff could be so much more if they managed to get the wait staff organized. Please be warned - we were served bread and butter which we assumed was complementary, but which they later (and very dishonestly) charged us 3 euros for per person. I strongly advise AGAINST coming here for anything other than for grabbing a quick, cheap drink and snapping a picture (as the wannabe influencers do it).

We were quite disappointed by our visit to here. The selling point of the restaurant for us was the views of the city, however there is a viewing platform that goes all the way round the restaurant but once you are inside the design of the restaurant makes it hard to see any views. The menu is really limited with quite unusual choices. There was only 1 vegetarian main option. After ordering the food took over an hour to arrive. We spent 2 hours in the restaurant but only had one course and 2 cocktails each so service was quite slow. When the food did arrive it was very nice but portion sizes were quite small compared to the price. Cocktails are also very overpriced compared to other restaurants of similar quality in the area. The waiter that serviced us was very rude, cutting us off while we were ordering, mixed up drinks orders, avoided us for a lot of the meal. He also made me feel like we had to leave a tip by making the situation very uncomfortable and repeatedly asking me to add a tip and wouldn’t type the amount into the card machine until we added a tip.
