We visited this restaurant and were somewhat disappointed. The view is beautiful, but the area under the tables was dirty. Strangely, there were already glasses on our table when we arrived, which remained there throughout our visit and possibly even after we left.
As for the food, I really enjoyed the meat broth. However, I ordered a Caesar salad and was served wilted lettuce without any chicken. It didn’t resemble a proper Caesar salad at all—just a plate of old salad leaves. I was very disappointed, especially since our orders were mixed up, and the staff tried to insist that we had ordered something we hadn’t.
This is nowhere near restaurant quality—this is something you’d expect from a cheap café or a fast-food joint, not a place that calls itself a restaurant. A proper Caesar salad should be fresh, well-balanced, and carefully plated, not just a sad pile of wilted lettuce with croutons dumped on top. And where is the chicken that was supposed to be included?
This level of presentation and quality is downright embarrassing for a restaurant. If I wanted something that looked thrown together in a rush, I could’ve gone to a random café and paid half the price.
We waited a long time for the bill, and on top of that, we didn’t appreciate the forced tipping, especially since we were served by a different waiter. The service was absolutely terrible—honestly, this was the first truly unpleasant restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I’m giving it two stars only for the view and the soup, but overall, a complete disappointment.
P.S. The menu clearly stated that the Caesar salad comes with chicken, but they simply didn’t put...

Overall the experience was ok. The food was average and wasn't really worth the 29 euros for the salmon trout, needed a bit more seasoning and lacked flavour. The waiter was friendly at first and provided ok service throughout the meal but didn't really offer great service and neglected to check in with us. The waiter did check in with the other tables around us during their meals as well as asking them for more drinks.
My main issue with the evening was towards the end, the waiter came round with the bill and upon paying asked me how much change I would like back. I politely asked if he could give us the change and the receipt so I could check everything. He then stood over me while I had the money in hand, expecting a tip (which I thought was a bit rude). I decided to only give a small tip of about 3 Euros as I felt the service at smaller less fancy places in Vienna had provided us much better service and better food for much more affordable prices. The waiter then took the change from me without a word as if he took offense from the small tip. I then tried to acknowledge him as we left and was completely ignored.
If you want amazing views of Vienna this is definitely worth the visit. The food will be ok but the service definitely left a sour taste. Maybe I'm being too harsh on the waiter and maybe he thought he provided excellent service but tips are...
Read moreHorrible service unfortunately was the only lasting impression this rooftop restaurant made. It has a wide view of the city in 360 degrees, and it's quite pretty in the evening - unfortunately this means a lot of wannabe influencers come here to buy the cheapest drink on the menu, take pictures, and leave. This also means the restaurant is 80% empty halfway through dinner. The waitstaff is perpetually confused and stressed and were unable to take our order in the manner we preferred and drinks arrived completely randomly rather than with the intended pairing. We perceived them as quite rude as well, perhaps as a consequence of their total lack of structure. Noise is constantly coming out of the bar area as they're doing dishes as if dinner service is already over.
The disappointing service is all the more disappointing seeing as the food itself is actually nice. We had an appetizer of cheese which was neatly arranged and tasty, and the goulash with dumplings was very nice also. Drinks, too, were very nice. This restaurant, with its great view and (apparently) talented kitchen staff could be so much more if they managed to get the wait staff organized.
Please be warned - we were served bread and butter which we assumed was complementary, but which they later (and very dishonestly) charged us 3 euros for per person. I strongly advise AGAINST coming here for anything other than for grabbing a quick, cheap drink and snapping a picture (as the wannabe...
