After waiting over a year to visit "Berlin Babo" Burger Joint in Vienna, I was sadly disappointed with the experience.
We waited 30 minutes just to place our order as the waitstaff seemed disorganized and inattentive. It took another 50 minutes and multiple requests to different staff members before our food finally arrived.
My burger lacked passion and attention to detail, with cold buns that didn't complement the meat. The fries were bland and there were no condiments, napkins, or utensils on the table - we had to fetch them ourselves.
To make matters worse, my partner's burrito had unevenly cooked meat, with one side cold and the other piping hot.
Despite multiple attempts, we had to ask three times for the bill, and no one bothered to clear our table or offer dessert.
When we finally received the bill, the waiter smiled expectantly, hoping for a generous tip. However, we were honest about our disappointing experience, citing the excessively long wait times and subpar food quality.
The response we received was disheartening: "Sorry, I'm new here, I don't know what to tell you, but there's nothing I can do."

Read moreHipster burger joint. The venue gives the impression of a workshop or factory designed to be hosed clean with a pressure washer. The straight walls and use of hard materials makes the acoustics of the place almost unbearable. Definitely a «Berlin» vibe in this place and it is not a good match for the softer and more pleasant Vienna. The menu is ok and has the options you would expect from a place such as this. Be careful so you don’t wander off into the vegan section of the menu and end up ordering something inedible by a mistake. Use your genX senses to locate the proper food options. We missed the usual Coke and Pepsi soft drinks. Instead you get some watered down German hipster coke copy. Drinkable but not ideal. Family of four. We entered hungry...
Read moreI ordered a smash burger with fries for delivery. The burger was juicy and loaded with a variety of sauces, which initially seemed promising. However, the overwhelming taste of fat from the meat completely dominated the flavor. Unfortunately, it made the burger less enjoyable as I couldn’t taste much else but the fat.
The fries were crispy but dry, and to make matters worse, I found a piece of plastic in them. This was extremely disappointing and concerning, as it raises serious questions about food safety and quality control.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. While the burger had potential, the overpowering fat and the plastic in the fries made it hard to enjoy. Definitely wouldn’t recommend unless there’s a big improvement in...
