Restaurant Bellaria — Restaurant in Vienna

Cafe Bellaria is a 19th-century cafe situated behind the Natural History Museum that is a neat place to try if you want for a classic Viennese experience and Austrian food. Opening hours are 7.30am to 12am (M-F), 10am to 12am (ST) and 11am to 9pm (SN).

The cafe decor and atmosphere is that of an old picture book of Vienna from the turn of the 20th century. Service has been friendly on both occasions that we have dined here over the years Menu is a standard list of traditional Austrian dishes listed in German and English.

During a recent lunch we had the Wiener Schnitzel (€16.10), which was breaded and fried very well. With a squeeze of lemon this tasted perfect - just like it should in Vienna. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the schnitzel came with far fewer parsley potatoes than in the past and what was served were way too salty and difficult to eat. This was disappointing as I rather like boiled potatoes with schnitzel.

We also ordered the turkey Condon Blu (€11.40) that tasted more or less the same as what we found with this order in the past. Again, well breaded and fried, the layers of turkey, ham and cheese were just fine. Served with a bowl of salad, this is a decent dish at Cafe Belleria.

Overall, we enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Bellaria. The atmosphere here is as good if not better than the food, which isn't bad at all. We will happily consider dining here again during future...

So Café Bellaria I think is quite a nice little place to Visite when visiting Volksgarten oder MuseumsQuartier . For me I like their food but everything gets a little downgraded by the fact that it feels a little entitled .

When you enter cafe bellaria you get a slight feeling of entitlement if that even makes sense . But in my view it was noticeable that this establishment was focused on what it represents , old , important , elite . Personally that’s why I was not impressed by the waiters . They only took positive note of me when I sat with my parents . Even though they were nice when taking the order everything felt a little rushed and some parts like a extra espresso or melange were forgotten . As well as the with for some salt took multiple reminders each after some time .

Now to the food . The quality you get is good the egg Benedict and the inlet of high quality but I do not know if I am willing to pay a higher price when these are the things which I can get for a little cheaper at any restaurant . I think my issue here was that I could not see a red string through the concept and some pets felt modern and out of place like a deconstructed Esterházyschnitte .

But please don’t get me wrong the cafe is still nice and the food good . If you can ,reserve because there are always quite a lot of people waiting . I wish to mainly see a shift in attitude from...

I am INCREDIBLY SURPRISED by the overwhelmingly good reviews. As a tourist I was excited to see the beautiful Wien and stumbled upon this café. Looking at the reviews beforehand, I was excited but was beyond upset at the HORRIBLE TREATMENT I receieved. Not being able to speak German, the girl working there blatantly ignored me. I was sat waiting 15 MINUTES before I was finally able to pay for my sad coffee, that didn't look like any of the pictures here at all! I even noticed how the same girl working there would speak so kindly towards the german-speaking customers, whilst ignoring me completely and even going as far as AVOIDING ME!?! I am very upset over the treatment at Café Bellaria and definitely WON'T recommend it to anyone or visit it again. Besides the incredibly rude girl, the coffee arrived not hot and the atmosphere was bland. I hope this review manages to find itself to a tourist or a none-german-speaking person so they are aware to avoid this place at...
