Actually, I can't understand the good reviews for this place I mean for the location, yes, definitely.
Went there recently, arrived around midday after a brisk walk for a drink and a quick bite. At this time, we were the only guests there, so drinks were served fast.
The Quinoa Salad (the menue said with spring onions, Rucola, red peppers, dried tomatoes and avocado) sounded promising.I asked about the size of the dish since I didn't want to eat much. The waitress replied, it is a quite big dish, so we (2 adults ) decided to share it, and ordered.
After waiting forever the waitress apologized for the delay, tells us that there is a new cook in the kitchen that isn't familiar with the menue and serves a small plate (just enough for 1 person).
It was composed as follows: 1.5 ladles of Quinoa, 1 chopped spring onion, a few Rucola leaves, 2 small squares of red pepper. The tomatoe (Singular) wasn't dried but fresh, like 2/3 of a small tomato. And the "Avocado" slices, well, I would call them an insult to the customer. You could not chew it, you even couldn't break it. It tasted like nothing and had the consistency of rubber or foam. I sorted it out and laid it out on a napkin (in the naive hope that the cook would taste it, if not before serving, at least afterwards...hahaha).
I confronted the waitress, she apologized and said there will be a discount. I had to join her to the counter for cashless payment. On our way another customer complained, since they served him the wrong beer.
We paid € 16,50 for 2 drinks and the salad, including the discount. The dish was charged with € 8,50 😖. Normally, when you experience something like that, the food is on the house or a voucher is offered.
Sorry folks, but this is a rip off. I'm usually difficult to annoy, but you...
Read moreWe had to wait for a schnitzel sandwich for 40 minutes, and had to chase up the waiters to get it. What finally arrived was austere in the extreme, a schnitzel sliced in half and put into a “Semmel” (i.e. bun), not a leaf or salad or a hint of a tomato, not even ketchup and mayo! Prices are far too high for the service and standard of the food. Definitely our worst food...
