One of the best gin bars in the world in terms of selection and ability to make recommendations. Huge - I mean HUGE!! - selection of gins from all around there world. Endless, endless amounts of gin. The largest gin collection in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Unfortunately, the bar itself is quite small.

Good for: Anyone who likes gin and doesn't mind the small, cramped atmosphere. You can drink all the gins you want in here. Bad for: Anyone who wants a fancy atmosphere with large spaces and lots of privacy. This is a cozy gin bad and the point is to drink gin.

Leider war der Besuch bei dieser Bar eine grosse Enttäuschung. Laut Internetrecherche sollte dies die "beste Ginbar von Wien" sein. Diesem Titel wird die Bar aus meiner Sicht jedoch nicht gerecht.

Eine grosse Auswahl an Gin reicht in meinen Augen nicht aus, um wirklich eine gute Ginbar zu sein.

Das Lokal ist ein ziemlich eng und voller Rauch. Der Weg zum Nichtraucherbereich führt durch eine dicke w Wolke, die Toiletten sind ebenfalls im Raucherbereich. Ohne Reservierung bleibt einem jedoch der Nichtraucherbereich verwehrt. Auch wenn er leer ist. Eine Bardame war sehr nett und kompetent. Sie kannte sich auch in der Ginkarte aus. Eine Zweite, etwas jüngere Dame war recht unhöflich. Sie liess uns gleich spüren, dass nur Personen mit Reservierung oder starke Raucher willkommen sind.

Das Einzige mit hohen Niveau waren die Preise für welche man magere 2cl Gin bekommt. Das Tonicwater kostet auch noch extra. Serviert wird das Ganze in einem Weinglas. Na gut, lieber in einem Weinglas anstelle eines Longdrinkglases.

Aufmerksam, geschäftig waren die Bardamen jedoch. Kaum war ich fertig mit meinem Gin, wollten Sie schon den naechsten verkaufen. Ich bewahrte jedoch Haltung und war trotzdem nett und gab ordentlich Trinkgeld.

Wer weiss wie lange der Laden noch läuft....

Das ist schade, denn das Ambiente und die Idee...
