Sans Souci Spa — Local services in Vienna

The spa facilities are clean and well taken care of. That is where the good unfortunately ends. My husband and I are quests at the hotel Sans Souci and were looking forward to using the spa at Sans Souci and made sure to pack our swimsuits. We got down there and noticed a man was naked in one of the sauna rooms, so we simply avoided going in there. We had an issue with it when he came out of the sauna room and was walking around naked in the common areas. I went to rinse off and he stood in front of the showers completely exposing himself to me as I rinsed off just staring at me. My husband and I went to ask the front desk attendant if nudity was encouraged/allowed and she said that it is whatever a guest feels comfortable with. After explaining to her that I did feel comfortable with what had just transpired, she just shrugged and repeated the same thing. I told her I was disappointed with this and that I would be writing a review. She then asked me, with a certain tone (as if I was the one who did not belong there) for my room number…she did not go ask the man who had been walking around naked and making a female guest feel uncomfortable for his room number.

There is no signage about nudity at the spa.

If you are a woman or bringing your kids with you (children over the age of 4 are allowed in this area) I would think twice about going here on your own. They clearly do not care about predatory behaviour...

La spa dell’Hotel Sans Souci Wien si presenta come un raffinato rifugio di benessere, un luogo concepito per rigenerare corpo e mente in un’atmosfera ovattata e sofisticata. Gli ambienti, curati con meticolosa attenzione, trasmettono immediatamente una sensazione di quiete e armonia, in perfetta sintonia con l’eleganza complessiva dell’hotel.

Particolarmente scenografica è la piscina coperta, lunga e luminosa, un invito irresistibile a immergersi e lasciarsi cullare. Tuttavia, la temperatura dell’acqua si è rivelata sorprendentemente bassa per una struttura di questa caratura: un dettaglio che smorza, almeno in parte, l’esperienza di completo abbandono che ci si aspetterebbe da una spa di lusso.

Un altro aspetto da segnalare riguarda l’accesso dei bambini: essi possono entrare unicamente nella piscina principale, area priva di sdraio e zone di sosta confortevoli. Questa scelta, pur comprensibile sotto il profilo organizzativo, rende l’esperienza meno agevole per le famiglie che desiderano godere di qualche ora di relax in compagnia.

Al di là di queste piccole riserve, la spa si distingue per la qualità delle strutture e per la costante ricerca dell’eccellenza estetica. Ogni dettaglio, dagli arredi agli accessori, è scelto con gusto e sobria raffinatezza, contribuendo a creare un ambiente esclusivo e rilassante.

I purchased a day spa package and it was lovely. There are many nice relaxation chairs to choose from. The staff was welcoming and friendly! The pool is very large for swimming. There are 2 different saunas so you can choose your temperature preference. There are multiple showers to use in the common area and also the locker room has nice hair dryers to get ready for the day. I will definitely come back again for another day at the...
